not surprised he came out and said this right around the time, resident alien was cancelled, probably was afraid of not getting anymore work, or such a big show down the line, hes rightfully pissed it was robbed from him.

apparently will had “the rocks” personality, he wanted to be the LEAD and demanded it or he wont be in the film as a draw for crowds.

He also provided mocap. So it’s not like he just recorded the voice, he was the Robot I or whatever. That movie was entirely forgettable, but Tudyk was great in it.

His name is Sonny and don’t you dare call it “forgettable.” It’s a silly somewhat schlocky action sci-fi film that also brings up some really good questions about free will and AI.

Didn’t the book do that? I mean yeah the deserves some credit for not eliminating those elements, but I think more credit should go to the book for establishing those elements in the first place

The book was a series of short stories that really have nothing to do with the plot of the movie.

Yeah, Asimov pioneered a lot of the philosophy within the movie, but they weren’t just wrote recitations of them.

Well, the movie is in the spirit of the book, which is basically inventing new ways to overcome the three rules of robotics. Turns out they’re often more of a guidance than a rule.

Tip: On desktop your words appear besides the image and then wrap under. You can avoid this by adding
      two spaces
      at the end
      of the line

Or by adding an extra empty line with enter key if that’s easier for you.

I really don’t think the foundation series would do well as a film adaptation. Maybe a TV series, but even then I doubt they’d be able to do it justice.
