It’s gotten down to -50C where I live a few times in my life and the easiest way I can describe it is that it hurts to breathe, any exposed skin will quickly start freezing and it’s generally a good reminder of your mortality and how easy it would be to die. Like people in hot climates, simply don’t go out when it’s that cold unless it’s 100% necessary.
