Yea, but I would that the fast majority of the articles aren’t negative. I agree that there is a lot of negativity on Lemmy, but that’s something that a lot of people are more interested in. If you only want more positivity you should search communities that fit this, there are loads (more are ofcourse always welcome tho).
huh, weird, my 5 top communities are: tech, news, lemmy shitpost, science memes, world news.
I think you are looking at your local community list.
If you look at the most popular communities, 3/5 first ones are not politics.
Simple solution, start your own community with only positive news.
maybe !games@lemmy.world?
I’m not sure if jerboa has an option to create a community. But you could also just make one by logging into lemm.ee (the website).
But as mentioned by another commenter, it might be better to do this in another community. Lemmy isn’t big enough for very niche communities like this.
Sorry, I don’t completely get what you mean with this sentence
If something was pulled before it was deleted they’d have it and, subsequently, the deletion record too
As far as I understand, removal by mods is federated and will thus be visible on all instances in the modlog. But not an expert by any means.
How do you mean?
Yes, in the community sidebar there’s an community specific modlog.
You can check the public modlog. Unless the user was banned + removal of all comments, it should be visible there.
I really like solution 3, I hope that get’s implemented at some time. Though one potential problem is; what if pancakes@a.com is subscribed to pancaked@b.com and a user from e.com, who is defederated from b.com but not to a.com, tries to browse pancakes@a.com? Would they see the posts from pancakes@b.com?
If yes, that seems like a way to go around defederation, which I think is not a good thing always.
If no, how do you prevent the user from accidentally reposting something that they could have no way of knowing was already posted?
As far as I understand they had prepared a pretty big warchest, and gas is still worth a lot and is being sold to countries that didn’t commit to sanctions (like China and India).
Hello! Could you please remove the copy of the entire article out of the body, see rule 10 for more info.
I meant to speak as part of the admin team here on lemmy.world. If I didn’t make that clear, I apologize for that, I guess.
You are accusing me of things I didn’t do in my mind, did you really expect me to not defend myself? I am not angry or anything, just confused about this whole ordeal.
Do not engage in content manipulation such as posting spam content, vote manipulation through using several user accounts or consistently down-voting a user.

Okay, so I read through some of the replies and I think I know what exchange you are referring to (not gonna doxx your ofcourse). I was honestly trying to ascertain if that mod had abused their power. You spammed the accusation through different communities, which is against the rules. I removed those comments, but I was still trying to work with you to investigate that particular mod.
Could be that the API was updated partly meaning that the system broke.
