Might sound crazy, but I actually went through it all lol. For music you may want to consider the lastfm cog. I use it for movies so I have themoviedb cog and created my own letterboxd cog… not great but it works. i also use aiuser with an API, useful to get some (old) information and you can set it up to roast people or talk in a certain way for entertainment purposes. cleanup is another useful cog to quickly clean up a lot of messages quickly (delete from message ID, delete messages between message ID1 and ID2 etc). i use the system cog to get server cpu/ram/hd usage.

I have a very short attention span unfortunately, if I get bored after 10 minutes I move on to another. It’s not uncommon for me to watch a movie in 2 sittings due to time, work, gym etc. Weekends if I’m not gaming then I’ll be able to watch a few movies in 1 go.
I really like Foxx, Leguizamo and De Niro, that’s the only reason why I finished it. The same reason why I watched Armor and Alarum “starring” Stallone, but compared to these 2, Tin Soldier is perhaps a bit better lol, surprisingly I actually watched both these movies in 1 sitting.
Thanks for the comment!
Just like any book, you can walk away from a shite movie, too.
Hahah, you’re right, I probably should have walked away from this but I really like De Niro… still don’t know why I punished myself but oh well.
Also, OP, with respect: De Niro is a personal metric for quality? Ya lost me. AFAICT, De Niro hasn’t been a reliable performer for a long time, (sighs in The Irishman) … but I’m genuinely curious about your take on that.
The last few movies (Killers of the Flower Moon, Father of the Bride, Part 3) and TV shows (Zero Day, The Wizard of Lies) I watched, I really enjoyed. I actually liked the Irishman! I really do enjoy a good script and good actors, but it’s debatable what appeals to me might not necessarily appeal to another person. Are the recent content as good as say Casino, Taxi Driver, Heat etc… I don’t think so.
Yesssssss. Jurassic Star Wars VIII!! Sith Raptors and Jedi Allosaurus.

Have my upvote as I do enjoy reading other people’s perspective.
Wait, TV or penis? Jk!
I have a 65 and I’m thinking of getting a 75 or into the 80’s.

Absolutely, “I promised them women”, that hit me hard.
Had the same feeling. Every time I thought he was dead he pops up again out of nowhere. I don’t know I’m hallucinating but did they try to humanize him a little bit? Like there were parts I felt like he knew those were his kids.
Tough question. There are parts of the second one which is really good, subjective of course, but everyone I’ve spoken to agree the first 10 minutes is really good (was directed by Boyle).
To me the story is not connected, but still worth a watch.
No apologies needed, I absolutely agree with you, loved the first 10 minutes, middle was a bit meh for me, then the subway scene was really good to me too. I actually asked my wife if I did that what would she do, she said definitely not a kiss lol.
The zombie “titties” and naked women are there too, absolutely, but there’s something uniquely ludicrous about the film’s focus on swinging, sprinting masculinity, a kind of visual punchline to apocalypse. And we don’t see this in movies very often. I actually thought the Alpha was Jason Mamoa for some reason, had to pause to Google it as I was pretty sure he wasn’t in this movie.

zero@fek.xyzOPto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What would you do if your gym trainer is 5 minutes late?1·8 days agoThank you for all the replies, did not expect to get so many. In conclusion this is what we’re going to do, while I also try to reply some of the comments here.
Have you failed to factor in human fallibility to your cost-benefit analysis for this gym membership?
We agreed if anyone is going to be late, then they should notify in advance.
Three times? I’d switch trainers as they’re not respecting the time I’m paying them for. Five minutes late, thrice in a row? I wouldn’t go back. There’s plenty of trainers out there. 5 minutes is about 8% of an hour. If he’s just driving in at 5 past, it’s gonna be closer to 10 past before he’s actually training you. He’s not giving you 15% of the hour you have paid for, and if he does it 7 times, he’s stolen a whole hour of training from you Go elsewhere. If they don’t respect your time and money someone else will. Sounds like my hairstylist. I’m always her first client of the day, and I always end up sitting outside and waiting for her to get there. I get it, going to work sucks. She’s good and I like the location, so I don’t complain.
All valid points, but I’m going to give him another shot, just because he’s a great kid with a great attitude during sessions. He has a big focus on form which I really appreciate to avoid get injuries.
Warm up stretches.
I walk to the gym, its not too far, then walk up 3 floors of car parking to the gym’s back entrance (gym is in a mall and the main entrance only opens at 10.30am). Pretty warm by then! I guess that’s part of my frustration. Happy to say I went to the gym today and everything was set up and ready to go by the time I arrived.
zero@fek.xyzOPto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What would you do if your gym trainer is 5 minutes late?12·9 days agoHe woke up late, won’t happen again etc etc. I’ve got 4 trainers with the gym because I do 6 days a week but only 1 guy is always late. It’s also distracting when we’re working out and he runs off to swich machines on in the middle of a rep. They always want me to commit 100+ hours each time I renew and paid upfront, so I guess being punctual is not too much to ask. In a way waking up at 6am everyday prepping for gym requires some discipline, I expect no less from the trainers.
He’ll improve for sure, until the English Premier League starts and Arsenal (his team) plays a late (+7) game on Sunday / Monday morning, then I’ll need to have a conversation with the gym manager again.

Did your dad just pimp you out?
