Absolutely. I was very excited when I found out it was returning and was then extra disappointed when it didn’t happen. 5 stars, highly recommended when it returns.
Dammit. I copied the link from a Mastodon replica but it still linked to the content on the dead bird site. I’ll try to do better.
Time to order my Dermott sweater!
Wrapping up this open thread with a comment about how Logan Cooley says all the right things. Keep it going kid, you’ve got a great future ahead.
Vejmelka stopped 2 of 2 in the shootout, and Schmaltz and Bjugstadt buried their shots, so the Coyotes walk away with a shootout win in game 1.
Schmaltz with the blast from the face-off circle! 3-3 late.
Amazing save by Vejmelka 1 on none. Now a Coyotes power play.
A very tough second-half of the second period for the coyotes resulting in many penalties and a New Jersey 3 to 2 lead.
Dougie, from the point on the power play, ties it for New Jersey.
And now another tripping penalty on the Coyotes. No flow at all to this period all of a sudden.
High-sticking penalty on Bjugstadt now. That’s one of those I always thought was weird, when one player draws another player’s stick up into his own face. It is always a penalty, but it never feels right to me, regardless of which way it goes.
Bjugstadt makes a sweet feed to Maccelli who gets stuffed, but the puck was cleared over the glass for another Coyotes power play.
Now Hughes gets caught for tripping to prevent a breakaway to send the Coyotes to a 4-3 power play.
Super-questionable even-upper “embellishment” call on Logan Cooley leads to a 2-on-1 on the ensuing face-off and a New Jersey goal.
Even if they didn’t score on that Power Play, it would have been MUCH better than the 1st one.
Sean Durzi lights the lamp from the blue line and Logan Cooley gets point #1 in the NHL early in the 2nd period! Coyotes up 2-0.
There are 6 Americans on the Coyotes roster: Bjugstad, Boyd, Cooley, Keller, Schmaltz and Zucker.
The Devils came on a bit toward the end of the period, but still a very good start for the Coyotes in the 1st.
What a great goal! Congratulations Doan family!
