It would be a good outcome of this mess, but I am not going to hold my breath. There is likely a lot of posturing going on here, with the ultimate result either a complete nothing-burger, or just an outright loss for fans.
I only really watch Basketball but the cable monopoly on sports mostly keeps me from watching anything. I did enjoy some “Chase Tag” on YouTube last night.
Well you’re in luck. Suns signed with Grey Television so next year at least, it will be on broadcast channels 3 and 15. Don’t see how Bally is going to cope. Let my Dbacks go!
Not a full win for fans since it isn’t on broadcast TV, but there are at least more options for everyone: https://dbacks.com/watch
…and at least it didn’t end up exclusively on Apple.TV as I was worried it might.
The Coyotes have now chimed-in: https://www.nhl.com/coyotes/news/coyotes-statement-regarding-bally-sports-arizona-july-18-2023/c-345374090?tid=282299844
“We are fully aware of the developments regarding Bally Sports Arizona. The Arizona Coyotes remain under contract with Bally Sports Arizona, and remain hopeful that the network will continue to broadcast our games this season. Nonetheless, we will continue to evaluate all of our options, as needed, and will ensure that our great fans across the Valley are able to watch our games this fall. We will have no further comment until we have news to announce.”
