People will let the elites talk to them like that actually. I am sure the WSJ could print an article saying “let rich people shit in your mouth, a solution to hunger” and people will still take it.
It’s because they think the elites have “the secret” to getting rich, and that by listening to them and following their advice, they can become a billionaire too.
Of course, the “secret” is having rich parents, but they never mention that part…
“But but but Gates started in his mum’s garage! And dropped out of college! And Musk also started in a garage! And have you seen Bezos’ first office! It was just a shitty desk in a supply closet! They worked hard, you’re just jealous!!111”
