They have upgraded the satellites over the years. They probably are disposing of the old ones. Solar flares do increase drag, but it doesn’t suddenly deorbit satellites that have thrusters.

EU seems to have more control over American tech companies than the US govt has.

I mostly agree, but look at the Technology community. Technology@beehaw.org, Technology@lemmy.ml, Technology@kbin.social, Technology@lemmy.world. They are all about the same thing and subscribing them all gets a lot of dupes.

Instead of agreeing to nebulous things like “limit to 2 degrees”. International politics should have focused on specifics like “hey, at least don’t make any new coal plants”.

The US needs to butt out and stop supporting them entirely.

No. This is called “15/70 Imax”. There are very very few theaters that have this. The “Imax” you’ll find at the local mall is totally different.

All the more reason to keep a different alt for each area of interest.
