UK users need photo ID to view any adult content on the internet. Those subs often include gore. I don’t understand what point the author is trying to make.
Rather than browsing by all you can also subscribe to communities that interest you and browse by subscribed.
They’ve been good for a while. It’s been a thing for at least early 2024, look at how convincing ElevenLabs is.
Do you have javascript or cookies disabled? That might stop you from getting past.
Exactly, yes.
Is there any indication for the lemmy.world people to notice that the instance hosting the community is gone?
I don’t think there is but I remember the lemmy devs saying they’ll add a warning at some point when a community can’t be reached.
Do all the other Lemmy instances keep a copy of the content from lemm.ee?
Yes, but it only keeps text and links, any images uploaded to lemm.ee will be lost. Any community in lemm.ee will still be visible but nobody outside of your instance will see anything you post there so they’re effectively dead.

Do post it in !pics@lemmy.world too
The switch 2 has good specs by today’s standards. Having anything higher than 1080p is a waste of time since there isn’t any handheld that can run higher than that. The steam deck is 800p…
Not ‘reportedly’, people confirmed it doesn’t work. it shows the games on your home screen but none of them launch. Also Nintendo can brick your system so don’t even try using it.
Also the implication is blatantly wrong because slavery has been a thing since the dawn of mankind.
Why should I know this
