The SAVE plan is a huge improvement for addressing student debt long term and they are still perusing other means for loan forgiveness.

I agree with your sentiment, but I’ll say I’m in my 30s and in grade school they definitely taught us mean/median/mode as being ways to measure the average. That said, I do also use average to mean mean as that’s what something like Excel calls it and that’s what most people think of when measuring average unless you specify otherwise. So that’s all to say, yeah it’s a bit messed up.
When someone calls it an idiot tax they mean the actual $2 tickets themselves, not the winnings.
*Can’t afford to buy a $48K car
There are still sedans out there that can be gotten for a lot less, people have really been over spending on these large SUVs to make the average price $48K. Get a ~$30K sedan instead, you can get a Honda Civic for under $30K or a number of other cars.
Now obviously that’s still out of reach for a ton of people, but it just seems weird to say “can’t afford a new car” and then picking something for $48K.
We’re the ones doing the scamming
Idk what kind of products you can turn a body into that can be sold (first I’ve heard of it), but wouldn’t that even be more environmentally friendly than just cremating those parts? I say use whatever, I’m done with it, if human skin wallets or whatever are hot on the market go for it.
I got my rate to stay the same and 2 months free rent on resigning this year, and they offered me the 2 months after I already signed the renewal so that was shocking. I think my building is struggling to keep tenants.
Wouldn’t she be 86, not 88? House term length is just 2 years, so that term would end Jan 3rd 2027 and her birthday is March 26, 1940
(Not saying 86 is young, just want to be accurate)
I’m going to be dense as I have no knowledge in this area, but can you just put it back in the ocean? I assume with sea levels rising the ocean is getting less salty so it wouldn’t be harmful as long as we spread it out/did it slowly?
I hate this so much, a preview for a preview.
Call their bluff, they won’t leave.
Is their comment editing going on or did you reply to the wrong comment or is my app glitched? The comment you replied to seems to say:
That’s good to hear that even though the vaccine is targeting the last big Omicron variant (XBB.1.5) aka Kraken, that its still effective towards the new Eris variant as its similar enough.
Which obviously doesn’t make sense for your comment (which I assume was meant to be a reply to an anti-vaxxer or something)
Yeah that was the same for me, the second one in quick succession hit me, but the following ones that were months (year?) apart didn’t really affect me thankfully. Just an incredibly sore arm for a couple days, but that’s standard for me and shots.
Dang, I hope things get better for people there, it was on my short list of places I’d like to travel to.
No car is made forever, even a next generation isn’t going to use the same parts and this has regularly happened with cars when they make new generations, it’s not a new problem.
Yeah it’s definitely a poorly written title for anyone not following this super closely.
True I guess I was reading more into the original comment on taxing more than appreciation and such. I know there are tax benefits to primary residence already, which maybe covers their original idea, but I figured it would be even higher taxes for foreigners for non-primary residence or something was what they were suggesting.
Even if they lie requiring X months would at least put a cap on how many they could own since there are only 12 months in the year.
There won’t be any gerrymandering for President unless they are able to change State boarders. Voter suppression in targeted areas however is possible.
