I can, didn’t all the better developers leave when Elon took over?

Agreed, I use them and paid $15 for state filing only. There are other services if you want extra but they’ve been my go to for a couple years now
My guess is parroting
That third party bullshit is why Trump was elected in the first place. We’re not in a time or area where we should be putting our votes in a third party. The country and our constitution is in danger, get the vote in for the people who aren’t fascists and then we can work on reforming the voting systems to allow more parties to have an actual shot at offices.
Spoken as someone who felt third party was the way to go in 2016 and deeply regrets allowing bad shit to happen to my country
Blame corpo greed. They all saw an opportunity to raise prices without raising wages and we’re all suffering the consequences.
Same with the GameCube. I’m looking at mine right now
That’s a great question. I would assume so since the whole point would be to strip out odd encodings. I don’t have to do it often enough saved in going to assume that option will depend on the program/OS and if it supports it.
Kinda related, I always copy paste into a “simple” text editor before I copy paste into something else. Slack is so bad about having hidden characters I don’t even want to think what other sites/programs do.
I went to an engineering school and graduated without the engineer title. I then started working in the software field and got a title of software engineer. I have people I’ve talked to about the title of engineer and how they have to take multiple tests and curriculums for that title. I only bring that up to say I think I know what you’re going for but as I see things, they are a bit different.
I feel a lot of engineer titles are based on hard math/physics/chemistry of this universe. That makes a lot of things well researched, investigated, and (depending on your view) semi-stable in how things behave. We’ve been learning and expanding on this physical world for centuries.
Now with software engineering we’re learning all the ways that we can build/create/destroy things that are in a “virtual space”. What is interacted with doesn’t necessarily conform to the physical universe. These are things that technically exist in those electronic pulses/signals but that feels more like computer engineering vs software engineering. Anyway, these non-physical designs don’t pose an immediate risk to the life of someone in the physical space so they don’t have the same creed and oath like the other professions. I feel we’re in the changing of titles in the future because software is forever integrating itself in our lives and we’re learning how much it can impact us physically as it’s more tied to our lives.
Just like electrical engineer may not have been a protected title in the past (as an example as we learned how electricity affected us) and other disciplines now affect our physical space, we’re on the precepts of software engineering affecting us. We still may be years or decades out but remember that other engineering fields had their infancy
I get that. Current humidity is 77%. It’s always brutal.
True. I believe you can accomplish the same effect if you’re able to use long curtains to “room off” your sleeping area. I guess it depends on what your living situation is obviously if that’s feasible.
A list from the link on the CDC site

Exactly. In my city the lowest “high” we have from Sunday to Friday is 99. I’m not looking forward to it.
I love that I can do that.
For anyone else though, sleep hygiene is a big thing. The thought being that there shouldn’t be anything with a screen in your bedroom (tv, tablet, etc) and you shouldn’t do anything in the bedroom besides sleep and fuck (and dress as well obviously). I removed screens 4 years ago and it’s so much easier to fall asleep.
Yup, productivity went up but paying money on a multi year lease is costing them so they want to justify paying the money. It’s stupid
Exactly, but I do wonder if the huge backlash from before was maybe a thought in the back of their mind. But I would bet it’s mostly getting licensing fees from MFi.
In September 2012, Apple announced the Lightning connector with the promise of being a “modern connector for the next decade.”
They specified 10 years (and I believe they said this because of the huge backlash of switching from the 30 pin connector) but I don’t know if they were truly saying it was going to last 10 years. Either way I’m glad they’re switching and I’ll probably turn in my 12 Pro for USB-C even though this phone is fine as is. Just hate carrying extra cables when I go on vacation and such.
Also don’t get the iPhone vs Android “war”. When I tell people I’ve gone from Android to Apple to Android and settled on Apple people think I’m crazy.
Exactly this. We use node exporter, Prometheus, and Grafana at my place of work to get node metrics across our K8s cluster for CPU, memory utilization, file system space, etc.
You’ll have to do some searching and tweaking of existing dashboards, but Grafana is crazy good
