Fuckin’ yikes
Because for 90% of the time, you couldn’t. It was only implemented in iOS 16 or 17 I believe.
Exactly. Open any post on the internet even slightly hinting towards veganism (or cute animals for that matter), and you’ll have the insufferable army posting gifs of sizzling bacon, steak being cut, or making jokes about how that one guy’s childhood chicken would make for a perfect chicken nugget.
What do you use then?
Don’t forget that they get mad when the government services they enjoy get taken away. Roads, electricity, you name it, they get mad about it.
It just isn’t.
How is the consumption of meat not a climate change issue? It produces a fuckton of greenhouse gases, uses an immense amount of water, and is actively contributing to monoculture crops in (for example) the Amazon.
Camera systems that read signage are nice, but not reliable enough. From my experience, it reads the signs on the side roads as well. And I don’t want my car slowing down to 50 km/h on the motorway because of a petrol station.
Pretty much the only place where I see them. Let’s hope we can disable it in the future.
I absolutely love being able to command+c and command+v in my terminals.
Well, there was the DIN standard for radios back in the day….
Dutch also has the issue with the compound words. Autocorrect will often put a space in there, which is grammatically incorrect (and ugly). I feel like it’s at a point now where the incorrect space usage has become mainstream and might change the language rules. Oh well.
If it’s a backend/service issue, tell the user, but the bare minimum. You shouldn’t disclose too much info about your system to the end user (think of stack traces, error codes unique to some dependency you’re using) as it may give an attacker some valuable information.
The best time was perhaps 30 years ago. The second best time is now.
Yikes. Today I learnt, unfortunately…
Exactly. Blame the publisher, not the developer studio here. That’s the case for at least 99% of these kinds of fuckups.
Is it really, though? My country banned menthols ages ago, because it made cigarettes less nasty and thus easier to get into. Makes sense to me. We don’t have the amount of segregation here like in the US. At least not racially-based. Not saying there isn’t any, but it’s definitely not on the same level.
Get the same hairdresser every time, explain it once. The next time you can say “same thing as last time”. Maybe some small corrections here and there, but I never have to explain my wishes anymore.
