It must be a fairly recent phenomenon then. I was there in 2022 and it was quite sad to see the amount of people left homeless around the city.
I like video games :)

Curious since I’m not familiar, how do the awnings prevent this? I went to SF a few years ago and there was a giant pile of human shit every 4 blocks so I’m not too surprised.
Thank you for clarifying- still want to get back in for some Splatoon 1 before the end
I wouldn’t say it went up that much but I’m definitely seeing it in my grocery runs. Haven’t changed habits that much but it’s easily $15-17 more per trip than it used to be.
Exactly- though I did trade up my OG PS2 for a slim back in the day. The OG had served its time (~5 years) and was ready to go.
Saw that but these won’t work on the new model so I doubt they make more. Unless of course they’re for the revision but I don’t know how that’d work with the new design.
I’m flashing back to Xbox 360 faceplates.
As a die-hard, I bought it Day 1 and got my $70 worth. But after I 100%'d it and looked at my recently played, I realized the only other game was Chicory which I played around Christmas time…
You’re not wrong. In a year where there are entirely too many great releases on all consoles, I’ve only played two on my PS5 (Street Fighter 6 & Final Fantasy XVI)
Not much reason to replace my current one, but many reasons to pick up OG console covers now if they’re going to be phased out in November.
Did you know she was a cop before you got married? They legally have to tell you if you ask.
I went to probably every store in Akihabara hahahah. Super Potato is the most iconic chain, not sure what part of Japan you are in.
Oh man, I loved game hunting in Japan. If you haven’t, I’d recommend grabbing some Japan exclusive physicals like Super Robot Wars series, Okami, Final Fantasy & Ace Attorney. There are also a lot of Limited Run releases that have a Japanese/Asia region physical that are tens to hundreds of dollars less than the North American versions.
Damn, I envy you for getting to experience them for the first time! I didn’t start until PlayStation 2 era so I’m in a more backwards order- did 7/10, 8, Tactics, 9, 12, 15, 7R before going back to 4 on PSP in 2020 and then Crisis Core & 16 earlier this year.
I have the GBA port of 1 & 2 but got bored at some point through 1. Also played maybe half of 13 when it was released according to Xbox achievements. I remember liking it actually but was a huge pothead at the time so my memory is a bit fuzzy. Have a strange nostalgia for it though so I plan on going back soon.
Yeah! By “finally,” I mean that it’s living up to the 30 years of hype haha. I’m playing the pixel remaster on Switch so it has actual vocals and HD-2D art style for the Opera scene. Definitely helps promote the stage play presentation and I enjoyed both versions when I watched the original SNES scene afterward.
FWIW I “liked” IV but was overall disappointed with it when I played it back in 2020 (my first FFs were 7 & 10 when I got my PS2 in 2001). Having a much different experience now with VI.
About halfway through my first ever playthrough of Final Fantasy VI. All I can say is “Finally.”
Right on! I have a hacked PSP with a similar memory card solution. It’d be nice to upgrade since I’ve always been a fan of the form factor.
Interesting- I skipped Vita and not sure how to jump in on collecting for it due to the proprietary storage. Vita TV is only ~$150 atm though 🤔
Highly recommend 13 Sentinels if you’re a fan of visual novels. Simply beautiful with great music and characters. If you’re not a fan of VNs though, the RTS gameplay is so minimal that I wouldn’t bother. It’s well-designed and enjoyable but barely 10% of the runtime.
“Work family?” You mean like the Manson Family?
I’m excited that Zelda gets her own play style and isn’t just a reskin of Link. We all saw how Zelda’s Adventure on CDi turned out.
