There’s a lot of us neurodivergent folks in tech because it suits our needs better than a lot of other fields, and a lot of us just love technology
We’re more prone to being LGBTQIA+ than neurotypical folks, scientifically documented
Makes sense tech would have more trans folks as a result, we pad the numbers a lil bit
This is of course a generalization and actual ND/LGBTQIA+ presence is going to vary based on job, location, how insufferable management is, etc, and not all NDs are LGBTQIA+ and vice versa.
8·1 year agoModern Israel is not Judaism! It’s not the same theocracy described in the old testament. It’s not even religiously pure, there’s a sizeable Christian and Muslim population. It’s perfectly valid to respect Jews and and their beliefs, and to criticize Netanyahu’s government for attempting to crush Palestine and kill its civilians indiscriminately in raids. Jewish folks in the US and abroad are joining in the protests to stop the war - this isn’t about being antisemitic, this is telling a very atrocious government to stop behaving as a similarly atrocious government did 80 years ago

I don’t have a tutorial to recommend but starting to play around with Minikube myself, should skip the need for an actual cluster
12·2 years agoPeople with the emotional maturity of a 2 year old, entitled and raised to attack anything they don’t like, were never taught ethical principles, nor how to cooperate with others in society, whipped into a angry, rabid frenzy by their religious and political platforms run by wolves who only care about advancing their wealth at the expense of positive progress that will actively help said people and other people in society and limit the overreach of corporations and runaway capitalist exploitation
All because “Joe is a traitor” and “I miss the good ol’ days”, and often outright -ism (across a myriad of protected categories, race, sex/gender, etc.)
Which is why I don’t understand this article being scandalous about it, infrastructure implementation takes a while and a lot of states don’t have the infra needed yet.
Again with the fear mongering over people that mean absolutely no harm to you as a human and are not ruining the country at all, maybe just to your career for being a prick
Pretty sure Jesus would say “love thy LGBTQIA+ neighbor” if he were present, but no, gotta crusade against the minorities because of some Old Testament law that was fulfilled by Jesus’s sacrifice in the New Testament anyways

3·2 years agoCost of living is pretty low there but not that low. Lots of impoverished communities.
He wants Twitter dead, he never wanted the company and he’s stuck with it and is basically doing the most above board sabotage of the company he can get away with.
Nope gotta go through triage and evaluate it next week and hey it’s a rarely used function and has over 1 story points so let’s address it next year despite how the fix is already in your head
