I don’t play MMOs anymore (nothing can satisfy me like City of Heroes used to), but just wanted to chime in to say I love your vintage anime character names.

I saw the whole thing.
During Ozzy’s set I remarked to my wife, “Y’know, it’s so extremely like Ozzy for him to basically host his own funeral”
Overall that was the vibe. It was an OK festival show with a lot of huge acts sounding like themselves and a few sounding old and washed up (GnR), but Ozzy and Sabbath both sounded like they were supposed to and that’s the important part, because from now on we’ll only ever get cover versions of those songs.
I’m glad they got Bill Ward. The very last Sabbath show should have the full OG lineup. They’ve earned their rest.
This. I use symfonium for my audiobooks. Great app.

People who don’t like to explore new/different technologies as a hobby get quite comfortable with whatever they’re used to and the way that it works and then quickly lose empathy for those that are earlier in their journeys.
Just to clarify on the Linus Pop!_OS thing, he didn’t read the prompt that said he was about to uninstall his desktop environment and then typed in “yes I understand this can break my system” or something like that, which had been added as a prompt to keep people from not reading the warning. Anyways people got mad that he did that because he literally ignored the warning and the meaning of the words he had to type that had been added to idiot proof the thing.

So exfiltrate a screenshot to your phone?
I mean, it does have enough ways to write the same thing that it can really allow for some funny code golf, but some people just have no sense of readability whatsoever.
Yep, it’s this
Python is kinda like that in general, unless you try to make it read like ass
print("odd" if num % 2 else "even")
That’s the native python version, for those curious

entropicdrift@lemmy.sdf.orgto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why are American cops allowed to be morbidly obese?1·30 days agoI understood their point. My point is that it was a one line throwaway gag on The Simpsons. Not necessarily a commentary on real world police hiring practices so much as a joke about both the police in that show and Homer.

1,028 movies
517 shows (20,702 episodes)
Shows are all 1080p or lower except a couple seasons of select shows in 4k. Movies are 4k HDR when it’s available, otherwise best quality I can find.
I use Jellyfin because of the client apps and FOSS nature.
I tend to prefer HEVC/h.265 encodings for the strong trade off between player compatibility and smaller size for the quality level, but h264 and AV1 are also both in my library. I don’t reencode anything except through the Jellyfin server transcoding.
