It isnt just how Markdown works either, its how HTML works too: Text is grouped in paragraphs there too, not in lines or statements. Of course there is options to force a line break for when its necessary. But most text reads better as paragraphs. And most people overuse manual line breaks.

And I thought it was us middle-aged (40+) and older who was the only one who still used them literally. Gotten the impression that younger generations invented non-obvious meanings that spread in trend waves, then stopped using emojis when it became too hard and social anxiety-inducing to keep track of the various interpretations of what a “slight smile” might possibly mean to the receiver. 🙂

Its doing pretty well when its doing a few words at a time under supervision. Also it does it better than newbies.

Now if only those people below newbies, those who don’t even bother to learn, didn’t hope to use it to underpay average professionals… And if it wasn’t trained on copyrighted data. And didn’t take up already limited resources like power and water.

Assuming most humans means well and want good, we’d always outnumber and outvote those who are fool enough to believe in the hate. But seeing politicians who demonstrately and openly want the worst towards certain people, somehow manage to get voted into leadership of one of the most influental countries in the world… It has shaken my belief in that tolerance will win out in a democracy.

Should. But its not like we can force them to grow up and become responsible.

Its music level released on YT gave it a lot of exposure. If even that wasn’t enough, what hope do we have for an Alan Wake 3 or Control 2 without a crappy tacked-on monetization scheme? Because thats always next if a singleplayer game series doesn’t make as much money as the publishers wanted it to.

In a normal world, someone in power who immediately starts blaming without any proof or cause or connected reason, should have been marked as crazy and shamed out of any place of power. I don’t care if its left or right or between. They should be as relevant as those who blame aliens for building the pyramids. They have no place deciding the fate of others.

That a lot of US are so ready to fight immigrants that they dont mind their politicians jumping blindly to conclusions and seeing enemies everywhere… Its scary. Even on this side of the Atlantic.

I really wish it was more popular to just continue film and tvseries with a new crew. New actors, new story or same-ish story, but acknowledgement that the old stuff happened somewhere in the same fictional universe. Hell, I would even prefer existing roles recast over a reboot. Theater pieces has no problem recasting anyone into any role.

“Who teachers felt had problems…” Oh. Teachers. Those people who comes in AFTER things has gone far past reasonable limits, and assigns blame based on whoever the majority of the class points out as the instigator. 😒

Lucky you! I wasn’t allowed to make anything more advanced than sandwiches. I would only make a mess, my mom complained. She was a bit obsessed with cleanliness and control.

I ate a lot of microwaved cheese sandwiches, and fried eggs as soon as I could move out, though. And spaghetti with ketchup. And rice with ketchup. Cheap and delicious food for a student.

Norwegian here. My family grew up in the 90s on mostly on oatmeal in milk, with some jam or sugar added. I love it. Quick to assemble and doesn’t make much of a mess to clean up.

The way I see it, explaining others also helps me understand it better. If its so basic (or too advanced) that I get nothing out of explaining, then I leave it to better suited people to help them instead. Being on these kindsa forums, its supposed to be enjoyable for both the teacher and the student. I don’t see any shame in dropping it as soon as it turns frustrating.

Seems like its a common mistake, maybe brought on by its use as a stylistic choice in entertainment. “Myguy vs/ Yourguy” became “MyGuy v⚡s Yourguy” became the abomination that is “v/s”. Probably. I’m no etymolog.

They are all named some variant of “tutorial_Ch01” or “testprogram” probably. And one repository named “My Unnamed MMO” (or some other overly complex but trendy genre) that has like 12 lines of code so far and a crappy drawn pixelart png.

ORMs produce good queries if you know what you do. Which requires proper knowledge of SQL, unfortunately.
