The instance structure conveniently groups people together and labels them. Stereotyping, bias and tribalism are the natural result.

When i was a kid even poor people had a 3 bedroom house on a quarter acre block. I know someone who rents the balcony of a 2 bedroom flat and shares with 7 other people., all of them are migrants or international students. Oddly enough, i live in a house that was built in a backyard. A cheap, crappy new investment property made to capitalise on the housing crisis. We’ve had more than two dozen tradesmen visit in a couple of years so i wonder how that investment’s working out. This is not progress.

I have a ‘just a job’ and to give you a different perspective: we are bored as fuck and many people survive by socialising. People make friends and start relationships there all the time. There’s a social club and other groups of friends that regularly see each other outside of work. It’s also shift work with regular overtime and weekend work so people can’t always easily socialise outside of their job.

It’s not made to be more healthy, just more planet friendly.

The chauvinism was already there, that’s why they have more male children.

Kinda, yeah. It’s pretty funny when people throw milkshakes at politicians. Getting wet should not result in violence or police in my opinion, provided the liquid is harmless. It’s also somethimg that happens by accident very easily and people overreacting to that and getting violent is a bigger problem than a ruined shirt. Not that i throw liquid on people, i just think people need to calm down, it’s not an attempt on your life. I would certainly yell but throwing punches seems like an unnecessary escalation.

It’s possible you might be a violent type. I cannot imagine breaking someone’s nose over something that ‘obviously didn’t hurt’.

I’m 47 and the twentysomethings at work still think i’m their age, its hilarious, some people my age wouldn’t even talk to me until they found out im old like them. Some of us just habve great genes.

The only options are fan forced, grill with fan and grill without fan. I might try the grill option and put some foil on a rack above the cake to stop the top from burning. I’ve had to do this for many years as my last two ovens only had functioning grills.

I have never had a properly functioning oven before and now my brand new one is still wrong. :(

I decided to split the difference and bake my cake at 170, it took half an hour longer than it should to cook and got dried out (i was poking it with a stick every 5 minutes for the last half hour), does that mean 170 in the dial is actually 150?

I don’t have the manual unfortunately.
