This is a little different. Whereas executives might not have any requirement on education or performance, in the US at least you’ve got 6 years education And 2 years residency to become an MD. It is still crazy money considering I’ve got 11 years in a PhD with an actual contribution to a field, but not insane compared to a 4 year degree or less.

You’ve got some minimal protein, mostly carbs and fat. You’re hurting for protein the most, but fiber is way short, and carbs are way high.

If you’re a 20 something you can look amazing on a diet of vodka and cigarettes, but at 30 or so a PB sando is not gonna cut it. You’ll be needing a protein, a leafy green, and a healthy fat. The carbs will basically always take care of themselves.

I don’t think it has to be lies and cheating, but there’s a pre-emptive reaction on the left of “we can’t do that, because what happens when the shoe is on the other foot?”. But then what happens? Those issues are abused anyway on the right.

IMO the first order of business ought to have been pack the courts, push the limits of gerrymandering, and anything else that guarantees easy wins until there’s a lawsuit that leads to legislation that codifies the rules for bad faith situations in law.

Basically force the grey out of grey areas and ride the easy wins. The slack in the system is the main thing that is being constantly abused. Unfortunately the electorate on our side is to interested making politicians “earn the vote” by chasing every car on the street and never catching any of them.

No, it’s like the base expects perfection at every turn and it just isn’t possible. A Republican fucks up and people rally to him, a Dem fucks up and they are expected to resign or recuse or whatever. The D always has to be the bigger person and our “big tent” is full of about 50 issues that can’t sit the hell down for two minutes to let something get done.

It’s a bunch of whiny little bitch kids that won’t punch for the throat because precedent and social issue du jour. What is really necessary is to put on some teeth kicking shoes and step up to the plate, but my other compatriot Dems just don’t allow that sort of behavior. I don’t know how to help you, but I’ll tell you that I have the opposite perspective. The two artists I’d most like to avoid are the ones you mentioned, so if there was a way I could eliminate suggestions from anyone who was like “fuck yeah Kendrick and Drake” I would absolutely do that.

You have simultaneously also described why you can’t easily unite a left-leaning base. My issue is obviously the most important (and so is everyone else’s to them) at every moment. Also if you are a rep you are honor bound to resign and recuse and be a perfect parent of the children in the other camp.

Yes, we can walk and chew gum, but you can’t chase every car in the lot at the same time and you can’t shoot yourself in the leg out of honor when the competition is going to shoot your other leg for spite.

If the question is why do people hate XXX, doesn’t it matter who is the first to critique? It seems to me that if you provide an unprovoked critique, unless the subject of the critique agrees with your perspective they are likely to… dislike said critique or the person providing it, yeah?

Hence the relevance of who provided the first critique: right or not, people might not like it.
