I still want one. I’m never, ever going to buy one, even if I could afford it. But I love freeze dried snacks, and I also love food preservation, and don’t mind tedious prep. It’s right up my alley. But they’re too expensive, and use too much energy. I’d feel guilty as fuck from an environmental standpoint.

Have you looked into vanlife groups? It’s not the same exactly, but most of the items they use should translate pretty well to nomadicish apartment life

Do you like Indian food? A ton of curries have both mustard and coconut in them. It’s not prepared mustard like Frenches, it’s the seeds, toasted in a pan, and then ground. It’s amazing

I’m not sure I understand why “mustard free” would be listed, they should just be required to list all ingredients. Like the person above said “spices” isn’t okay.

But that said, mustard is in most of my homemade soups. Once you discover the joys of toasted mustard seeds, you don’t go back

Hey, fellow Tennesseean anarchist. I lived in Erwin for a while, as well as Kingsport. Closer to Knoxville now. Are you still local?

Unicoi county went for Bernie in the 2016 primaries. It’s a very small town that has gone through a lot of shit trying to claw it’s way out of horrendously bad politics in the 80s and prior. Bumpass cove, where I’m sure some of worst damage was, was the site of nuclear waste dumping, and has been the nucleus of a major swing to the left for a lot of people in the area. Right down the road is Johnson City, a very progressive college town. Dumping on the victims of a disaster because their neighbors, or even they, have shitty politics is a shitty thing to do. Maybe those school kids deserve to get shot because their grandpappy is a Republican? Yes, moments like this should be catalysts for change, but victim blaming isn’t the route to take to that.

Yeah, me and mama both share a tendency towards that. I have to be very careful around gambling, so does she.

When I was around 22 or so, my mom won a free tablet from a contest online, and got this absolutely terrible android tablet, even by then current (2012) standards. But it did have angry birds. She played so much angry birds that it had noticable grooves in the plastic of the screen from aiming. Lol

My dad (clean now!) decided to try crack at 40 and spent the next 15 years taking us on a wild ride of addiction and absolutely bullshit. I’d definitely take a game addiction over that. Lmao

My mom got so frustrated at how often I needed batteries for my walkman, my Gameboy, my other toys, and my little stereo I won at the library, that she replaced all of our batteries with a bunch of rechargeables she bought in bulk. All my friends were so jealous

I would not say most gay men are terrified of vaginas. I’m not sexually attracted to vagina, but I’m also not scared of it, anymore than I’m scared of wrists, another thing I’m not attracted to, or tattoos, another thing I don’t personally have. They’re just a thing that’s there, and that I’m not into. Same for most gay men I’ve met.

Also a gay man, and yeah. No sexual attraction to boobs at all. I’ve played with straight girl boobs while drunk, because straight girls do that when you’re in your teens and early 20s, but it’s always been sort of a drunk funning around thing, not a sex thing. I have the exact same amount of sexual attraction to girl boobs as I have to, like, knees. They’re a body part, that’s about it.

Jesus. Yeah, we get some drownings here, but nothing like that. There’s this one spot in the county I used to live in called the blue hole, where the water is always 45 degrees, and kids dare each other to jump in. They freeze up or cramp and drown.
