Look, I’m probably the exception here, but someone I know works at a company as a manager. He is more than willing to work with the union guys there with anything, but the real problem is that a lot of them get very lazy. Like, not doing their job lazy. And it’s near impossible to get rid of them because the union will spin it some other way. That’s the one real negative to unions, but they’re not the silver bullet to every industry
While it won’t make sense for every datacenter, it would be so amazing to walk into one and see something hyper futuristic placed on walls
Capitalism brings disparity, but it seems like more people are happy with the idea that what they earn is theirs. It also seems like less people are impoverished. Are people poor? Yes. Are many people preyed upon by corporations? Yes. Unhinged society? I’d argue not. If you’re talking about the US, I’d say we are quite far from fascist as well
Not invalidating your experience, but my t7 ran windows for me and it’s done well
I use arc on my mac and it’s nowhere near as nice as that, but I like the side tabs, the way it gets out of the way when I’m searching, and bing isn’t too bad; I’ve actually used it a few times. Once I found a customizable start page I haven’t looked back. Again, for work
Definitely missed it. It doesn’t grab everything without permission, but probably wants to stay out of the way so you do pull it all in
That duckduckgo default is the thing that aggravates me the most. Sometimes those results just don’t cut it but I don’t even have the option to chance my default browser. I had to bookmark google
I use edge for work every day, what popups?
Is old Roblox going somewhere?
What is Cali even doing at this point?
The original story tells of how the reason they shot in the first place was that someone else opened fire on a minor (if I didn’t misread). In that situation, it makes sense that the cops would also use deadly force and I’d personally like for them to do so. Anyway, should they have waited until better shots, yes, but it’s not like they were just aiming at children hoping to kill them
Oh that looks awful. Maybe it’s just because I don’t know how to read it, but the fact that it is similar to SQL (definitely pronounced sequel at this time) messed with my head
Not necessarily a person. Just saying.
Production time. “Bloat” can mean quicker turnaround but less efficient code
I’d argue it’s worse than TOTK. I completely get your point that they’re wildly different, but INSIDE doesn’t feel as overall “fun” to me at any point as BOTW or TOTK. I think there was only one real flaw with INSIDE; the way in which you solve puzzles can be sort of tedious. One thing I really liked about The Witness was that, despite the fact that some things were hidden or convoluted, it was rarely a stupid long walk just to complete the puzzle. INSIDE featured that a number of times. Sometimes the puzzle’s solution was obvious, but I was still running around for minutes just doing the legwork. I feel there should be instant gratification for the puzzle’s solutions, sometimes solving them didn’t even feel good because I had spent too long trying to actually get the game to recognize I had completed the puzzle even though I had figured it out
I’m excited to see what becomes of these games and this publishing company and I hope Dunk doesn’t lose that magic his fanbase likes. On a personal aside, I’m kind of over pixel graphics games. They don’t ring much nostalgia for me and I find a cutesy artstyle is more my speed
I cannot attest to all of science, but anecdotally, that is wack bs. I am very sensitive to caffeine. Know how I know? I got them mixed up once and after 3 cups of black “decaf” (it was the caffeinated) I started low-key tweaking. Hot flashes, cold flashes, sweats, vision blurring. I can’t say all stuff is like that, but I did NOT mix up my caffeine and decaf like that again.
