I have no problem with it, but not watching a one hour video about it. Brands in entertainment has existed for decades, it’s just now, the actors are benefiting instead of the studios.

Tygr@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•‘Stop the price-gouging’: Biden hits corporations over high consumer costsEnglish1·2 years agoWealth gap. What you are actually saying is everyone is being squeezed, allowing corporations to sell less and make more.
This is why I’m kinda pissed off about it all. Americans all went shopping and kept spending as per usual, which allows corporations to report “green” to investors and continues to allow unbelievable CEO / executives wildly insane pay to continue.

I hate politics so much. Once you follow the money and see why they spend billions to get someone elected, you’ll wind up hating it all too.
Tygr@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•EU court says public employees may be barred from wearing head scarfEnglish187·2 years agoThe entire world is figuring out you can’t please them all, legally.
If, legally, religious attire is allowed as an exception, then they must allow those satanists to wear theirs. Solution? Businesses and service providers can no longer restrict clothing, including if someone wants to work in a bathing suit. Or, face an expensive legal battle.
If long hair on males is forbidden in the schools, then you must be willing to force a Native American to cut his hair. If you are willing to do that, then expect more legal restriction and an expensive legal battle.
All this stuff is going through the courts in various countries in various extremes. Been interesting to watch over the last couple decades.
Tygr@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•‘Stop the price-gouging’: Biden hits corporations over high consumer costsEnglish11·2 years agoNot just a big spending day, an all-time record-breaking spending day, up 7.5%. That’s absolutely insane and doesn’t jive. If everyone is hurting, can’t pay their rent and bills, credit is maxed out, then how did they also crush this record on inflation-priced “sales?”
All I’ve said, I’m choosing to go by data, not news agenda. BF helped me realize our economy is thriving. That’s great!
Tygr@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•‘Stop the price-gouging’: Biden hits corporations over high consumer costsEnglish42·2 years agoAbove normal. The data suggests US citizens still have credit limit or not feeling the pinch as all the news articles suggest.
I was expecting a big decrease this year according to what I’ve seen on lemmy. From now on, I’ll read negative news and say “meh, probably not.”

They will absolutely be sued for this.
It’s getting there but we’re still pretty far from critical mass. Need 10x more people to truly show the world how far US has slipped in favor of the 0.01%.
Tygr@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Starbucks' unionized workers plan walkout on "Red Cup Day" this weekEnglish251·2 years agoI wish 50% of America would go to the event to cause an absolute overwhelm, crush and chaos that would bring fines to each location.
Each customer should take 5 minutes or longer to order. Vehicles should break down in the drive throughs.
Since a 100% boycott won’t happen, this is the only way.

There’s absolutely zero chance of this occurring due to damage to the economy, outbreak of wars from countries trying to force other countries to stop, etc.
As flight attendants would say, “BRACE! BRACE! BRACE!”
Imagine being a president that wants to get reelected and win popular opinion. If that president took away millions of jobs that caused global warming damage, voters would just elect the guy to bring those jobs back.
There’s no winning here, just suffering.
Ass up, head down. Great art piece.
Fireworks are a complete waste of other people’s money. Besides the regular fireworks show (taxes), I like watching people’s money go up in smoke. It’s fun!
