Getting defensive isn’t necessary.
Senior Chief Petty Officer. Starfleet is in my blood, and I’ve spent my entire adult life in service to boldly going.
Keiko and Molly are my favorite humans, but Transporter Room 3 will always be my favorite.
Just don’t ask who what’s in the pattern buffer.

Well I sure hope it does!
It would be pretty weird it if floated on cedar trees.
10/10 you can see little spider webs with moisture beads

She hasn’t committed any crimes in France (she technically hasn’t committed any crimes in Israel either
She hasn’t committed any crimes that I am aware of since the aid voyage began. Not even the bullshit ones that fascist regimes like to throw out when they want to target specific groups.
I know you aren’t trying to suggest that she has, but I believe its important that there isn’t any ambiguity in whether she did a crime or not. She was kidnapped by Privateers (state-sanctioned pirates), the goods she was traveling with as well as personal effects were stolen, and she was taken against her will into places and forced to watch people die on video by her kidnappers. At no point in this has a crime been committed in any way that I am aware of. And it especially hasn’t been made known by any credible source.
To many people nowadays, the actual job itself doesn’t matter, it’s the fact that it’s a job and it pays.
They’re being elitist with their headline, but this is why I personally think they’re sort of right… We will make the planet uninhabitable for modern society before the sane world can pool their resources.
I mean… Never by our current civilization.
With climate change ramping up, less and less will be devoted to space and exploration, and more resources focused on maintaining order and keeping people fed and working.
So unless the rest of the world can rally together in the next 50 years, we, our current civilization, will be likely nearly wiped out in the coming centuries. Not totally, I don’t think. But modern society will not survive.
Now, I fully believe the rest of the world is completely capable of doing this, the question is can enough people in positions of power put aside petty differences and work for the betterment of humanity. Because clearly my government won’t.
The titles is definitely click bait, and if they really believe it they’re delusional.
Lol. I wasn’t going to be paying full price for a game anyway, but now I’m not paying for gearbox games ever again.
I had exactly 0 intention of ever buying anything from Adobe.
Inkscape gave me an alternative to the high seas. And it happens to do everything I need it to, although it’s way more powerful than the simple vector graphics conversions I use it for.
10/10, Adobe never lost money from me getting Inkscape. They lost the game before they knew I was a player.
In this particular instance it reminds me of trees like this:
However, in general I agree that it can be off-putting.
Non-uniformed chucklefucks claiming to be law enforcement while acting like gang members and thugs, getting ready to break into a house?
Sounds like a good time for armed resistance to arrest the clearly illegal kidnapping or robbery. If they are armed and make any move toward weapons, there is only one response. Defend your life, and defend the victims, with all the force necessary to do so.
I actually think ICE WANTS this to happen so they can justify being even harsher or just straight up executing people in the street. It’s not like law enforcement hasn’t executed someone in front of dozens of witnesses while being recorded…
Armed minorities are harder to oppress.
organized armed minorities make politicians afraid.
Honestly the biggest problem with being left and armed, is finding other people with similar views to organize with. Specifically because we don’t advertise and make it half of our entire personality (usually).
birth bath
Uhhhhhh you should probably at least drain out the placenta fluid…
To continue with the argument of “the market will self-regulate and people wouldn’t buy that brand anymore so they would never do it again”
Okay but how many people died, how many people are suffering long-term effects, and what’s stopping them from adding a different deadly thing to our food?
Everyone, everywhere, has a duty to stop fascism and help their fellow man, regardless of what ultimately insignificant speck of a human decided to put a line on a map.
It was.
In Ohio? I’m almost positive it isn’t legal. It’s definitely illegal in states like California. But they’re banking on nobody recording their interview audio (which I will now be doing as Ohio is single-party state) and nobody complaining if asked.
I doubt it’s a company policy, but I did send an email to their company offices to complain about it, for all the good it will do.
Not programming, but in the same vein, A Trek Bicycle store manager asked me in an interview if I would be willing to work a trial shift the next day building bicycles. Unpaid, of course. Just to see if I was a good fit.
Of course, since I was used to building 50 a day, I would have gotten all of them done in a single shift whereas they were needing to call in stores from surrounding areas to come help in a few days.
I laughed and said if they needed help tomorrow I would be happy to work for my usual fee of $20/bike.
Oddly, I did not get the job
Addicts always gotta justify how they get their fix, I guess.
Ah, so you just wanted to stand on a soap box and let everyone see how virtuous and moral you are. Got it.
The “I’m doing the thing you’re doing but throwing it back at you” and “thanks or whatever” definitely is.
