Senior Chief Petty Officer. Starfleet is in my blood, and I’ve spent my entire adult life in service to boldly going.

Keiko and Molly are my favorite humans, but Transporter Room 3 will always be my favorite.

Just don’t ask who what’s in the pattern buffer.

  • She hasn’t committed any crimes in France (she technically hasn’t committed any crimes in Israel either

She hasn’t committed any crimes that I am aware of since the aid voyage began. Not even the bullshit ones that fascist regimes like to throw out when they want to target specific groups.

I know you aren’t trying to suggest that she has, but I believe its important that there isn’t any ambiguity in whether she did a crime or not. She was kidnapped by Privateers (state-sanctioned pirates), the goods she was traveling with as well as personal effects were stolen, and she was taken against her will into places and forced to watch people die on video by her kidnappers. At no point in this has a crime been committed in any way that I am aware of. And it especially hasn’t been made known by any credible source.

  • I mean… Never by our current civilization.

With climate change ramping up, less and less will be devoted to space and exploration, and more resources focused on maintaining order and keeping people fed and working.

So unless the rest of the world can rally together in the next 50 years, we, our current civilization, will be likely nearly wiped out in the coming centuries. Not totally, I don’t think. But modern society will not survive.

Now, I fully believe the rest of the world is completely capable of doing this, the question is can enough people in positions of power put aside petty differences and work for the betterment of humanity. Because clearly my government won’t.

The titles is definitely click bait, and if they really believe it they’re delusional.

  • I had exactly 0 intention of ever buying anything from Adobe.

Inkscape gave me an alternative to the high seas. And it happens to do everything I need it to, although it’s way more powerful than the simple vector graphics conversions I use it for.

10/10, Adobe never lost money from me getting Inkscape. They lost the game before they knew I was a player.

    It was.

In Ohio? I’m almost positive it isn’t legal. It’s definitely illegal in states like California. But they’re banking on nobody recording their interview audio (which I will now be doing as Ohio is single-party state) and nobody complaining if asked.

I doubt it’s a company policy, but I did send an email to their company offices to complain about it, for all the good it will do.

Not programming, but in the same vein, A Trek Bicycle store manager asked me in an interview if I would be willing to work a trial shift the next day building bicycles. Unpaid, of course. Just to see if I was a good fit.

Of course, since I was used to building 50 a day, I would have gotten all of them done in a single shift whereas they were needing to call in stores from surrounding areas to come help in a few days.

I laughed and said if they needed help tomorrow I would be happy to work for my usual fee of $20/bike.

Oddly, I did not get the job
