Not only does that not have anything to do with the topic at hand, but I’m also much more worried about the very real hostile take over of a nation than some people’s fucking street lights.

This is such a low effort answer that does not even begin to consider the complexity of people’s lives.
I’m not disputing the rules, they just seem so damn archaic at this point. The digital era made a lot of this redundant. Got my social? The government knows who I am. Got my current ID? The government knows who I am.
New Mazda owner here. I wish I knew exactly what metric they were using to gather this info. I would make it think I was fucking EVERY time I start the car.
I think you just invented taxes.
I would say that was a valid argument a decade ago when 4k came out. I’m completely baffled that we STILL market 1080 as high quality. Furthermore, I would say that was a valid argument if these fucks weren’t taking in record profits over and over and over again. It’s not a cost issue. It’s a greed issue.
Why yes, Ford, it is grossly irresponsible to make billions off the backs of your workers, while unfairly compensating them. Glad we agree.
I mean, just looking at the thumbnail I see American politicians in front of an American flag. I think we can all agree that the country specified is pretty simple to figure out.
Your first paragraph reminded me of a song that has stuck with me since I heard about it. Give the song “Long Violent History” by Tyler Childers a listen. Obviously I don’t know your musical tastes, but it’s a powerful message in a genre that typically doesn’t embrace the same ideologies.
Correct. And instead of fixing the issue…here we are. But hey, they got a beefier salary out of it.
Now wait a minute…I thought they liked McCarthy SOOOO much, they were willing to vote for him as speaker 15 times in a row just this year?
Plenty of cars out there running more power than that. Why do we need it? We don’t. The same could be said for most power levels in any modern car. Why do we want it? Because it’s fucking awesome.
“They don’t gotta burn the books they just remove 'em.”
Interesting question. I’m thinking what he should have done was not fuck these folks over for years, and then ignore a court order to pay them. Fuck the lenders, they knew who they were lending to.
I’m really not interested in giving this fucker any more thought than that. I have my own bills to worry over (and I’ll actually get in trouble for ignoring them). He made this shit sandwich for himself, he can have it. Actually, he shouldn’t have it, and it should be handed over to the victims, while his assets are frozen/liquidated for eternity.
It’s pretty popular in Hawaii.
I noped out of printers a long time ago. Staples prints whatever I need on the cheap, compared to ink cartridges.
I know that I’m personally gonna blame this one random person on the Internet for all of our student loan problems. Definitely not gonna blame all the systematic issues.
Why did I create a Lemmy world account as opposed to beehaw or ml? Because it’s the first one I saw. Because it doesn’t matter. Because I don’t know what ml stands for. Because Lenny world said “general use.” Because I didn’t have to fill out an application. Because I can still interact with everything else, and again, it doesn’t matter.
Even though this is a rhetorical question, it does not mean that the issue is black and white. We should still pressure our leaders to do the right thing.
