I just spent a few minutes browsing and it was pretty fun! Love the very minimalist design and no requirements to sign up, etc. Just straight to the point for both those asking and those selecting.

This was me and my friend with Who Made the Potatoe Salad for many years. I remember this lady who lived in my grandparents’ house had a bootleg copy of it and I watched it and it was funny while my friend had seen it too. But we lost both of our copies of it. I found the bootleg DVD case and was so excited until I opened it and found it was blank.

I could find the movie online and see it actually existed and had been released at some time, but couldn’t find it anywhere. Not even sailing the seas got me any results except fake listings.

Then one day last year, I found a single listing uploaded to a pirate site and it had some leeches. I began the slow download at night and woke up the next morning to it fully downloaded! I couldn’t believe it.

I watched it the next day and honestly it was funnier than I remembered. It wasn’t the best movie I ever saw, but it was well worth the wait.

Crazy how a movie can just go missing like that in this digital age. Not even second hand copies on eBay.

I am blown away by KDEnLive and how quickly I’ve been able to pick it up to learn it.

It’s as simple as the classic Windows Movie Maker but also just as capable as iMovie or what little I did in FinalCutPro on a Mac.

One feature I love on this is that I was editing a video on my Windows gaming PC and have the files all on the cloud. I then loaded that same project on my Linux laptop and it gave me an error that it didn’t have the media… however…it would parse a folder FOR ME and then add that media back into the project. In minutes I had the complete video timeline just as it was on my Windows machine now on my Linux laptop.

It’s also just so basic and easy to use. It’s a bit refreshing and not intimidating to use. Granted, I am someone who’s somewhat familiar with video editing from other applications, but not a pro by any means.

I don’t do food deliveries anymore but when I did, almost always did the food come in a paper bag that had a sticker over it which would let you know if someone tampered with it after the food was prepared, i.e. the driver. The drinks also came with a sticker over the top of it to cover both the lid and the insert for the straw so you’d know if someone removed it.

I’ve gotten them recently when doing curbside pickups at places like McDonald’s too.

I think streamers would know their food was tampered with. Unless someone was extremely careful, but that’s difficult when dealing with the paper bags and stickers.

I have no idea how I missed that in the title because that’s the only thing I was wondering about lol But just changed it

I wonder how well it’ll play because it’s a bit rough to play the DLC on the Steam Deck while the main game plays just fine.

This was my comment. My dad and I felt that same way but my grandmother just couldn’t understand how we could.

If I never needed to eat, that’d be wonderful. No more getting fat ever again and I’d probably be 100 times healthier.

Someone corrected me the other day on here that it’s not all games that are doing that but only some will be a game key and others will be the full game. I’m assuming that all first party titles will be the game key since this is largely about piracy and not allowing people to easily dump the game from the cartridge like people did for the Switch.

I’ve been really liking the art style of the Common Side Effects tv show. It’s like anime but very western in feel with just the right amount of CGI, where it’s not too much but used in the right angles.

When I sleep at my mom’s house, there’s a smart lamp my brother put in the spare room that has 1 USB port on it and a wireless charging pad. I opt to use the wireless charging pad at night for my phone and the USB for my watch. Makes it so I can charge two devices simultaneously without having to switch out USBs.

in a car, having wireless charging pad is nice for the convenience of taking it with you and putting it on very quickly and easily, especially if you’re actively driving and just want to do it with the least amount of distractions. Even with USB type C being reversible, you still need to make sure the cable gets in the hole and that’s dangerous to do while driving. But with a wireless pad, you don’t have to look and the magnet helps guide it on correctly for you. You still shouldn’t do this while driving, but out of the two, a vastly safer alternative. Besides that, it’s nicer to be able to just grab your phone and go when leaving the car and also easier when entering. Another addition is that a wireless charging pad takes the place of two accessories and combines them together. So you now have a mount and a charger in one instead of both being separate.

Hygienically speaking, it’s cleaner in that you don’t have to touch the charger. Best for public use like a coffee cafe. People are gross and I try my hardest not to have touch contact with stuff if I can help it. So to be able to drop my phone down without touching a cable a million other people have been touching helps with that too.

Even though I like it…I still want a port. A lot of cases don’t allow you to make direct contact to have wireless charging, so it’s not always an option. Also don’t always want to have my phone laying down, sometimes I want to use it while it’s charging, especially when typing, and that’s near impossible with 90% of charging pads unless it’s a special type of MagSafe for iPhones. Then there’s also the fact that I like it as an option in case something breaks. If the port is dirty or damaged, I still have the wireless charging option. Same in reverse if the wireless function ceases to work for some reason.

In addition to adblocking, some people use it for family censoring like blocking porn and gore on the domain level. It’s a more effective means as it would mean that your kid can’t go to ph on the family computer as well as their iPad.

You can block individual domains if you wish but there are also a lot of lists out there that are generated and maintained by the community to include new sites as they arise.

I like it for my iPhone for playing free games like solitaire and the like. A lot of these have intrusive ads but the PiHole effectively blocks the ads and I don’t have to have any third party apps running on my phone.

Additionally, I set up a VPN on my Raspberry Pi so I can take this adblocking on the go too.

You can also set up the PiHole to keep a log history which some people may want or you can use it to never keep the history for privacy reasons. I suppose this is another use case in ensuring your DNS server at home doesn’t keep a history of websites you visit from any device on the network.

It’s really how you use it. In short, a server is what other devices rely on and a computer is used on its own to sometimes connect to a server.

I have a “server” at home that runs on Windows 11 Pro. There are people who buy (or pirate) the server editions of Windows to use for personal, every day use. Rare, but they exist. Same with Linux, with many distros not having a specialized edition for servers, but people still will use it for a home server or even in a professional setting.

What separates the two, to explain to a five year old, is how they are used.

My server at home “serves” up content for me to use on other devices. I have a library of music and movies and TV shows there that is being shared. Additionally, this server sets up the connection and a local website that my other devices can use to access this content. A server is either rarely off or has a set schedule that it is on since it has a purpose that other devices rely on.

A PC (personal computer) is what you use on a daily basis. This is used either seldomly or at random as it is only being relied upon by a human that will wake it up as they need it.

In a professional setting, a server will host the application that manages the employees of that organization. This server is like a watchdog on the network, making sure everyone is abiding by the guidelines laid out for this network and using proper security to access computers and other devices on the network. A computer in a professional setting is used as often as a human employee needs it. IT may need the laptop to remote into a server and then turn it off and not use it for a few weeks. The manager opens her computer to log in and run reports and then closes when she’s done for the day.

Don’t worry about being embarrassed. This is your health and it is important. You don’t want to let things like this go on too long.

What are your alternatives? Just keep quiet about it and live in discomfort and let it get worse? Or spend a few moments POSSIBLY feeling embarrassed and getting the help you need? I say “possibly” because I doubt your parents will let you feel that way about something that is medically bothering you like this. Good parents will care and do what they can to help you.

Go get yourself taken care of. This is important.

Yeah this is going to definitely come down to a lot of subjective opinions. I was speaking more so in generalities where you’ll likely meet more guys into older women than you will women into older guys. But that also has a lot to do with the ages we’re talking about too because in high school to young adult years, many women definitely prefer older guys, but as women get older, that changes for some women. And the age is different here too. A guy is usually more willing to go much higher in age than a woman is. Whereas most guys seem to be drawn to older women throughout their lives through and through, until you get to a certain age, around midlife crisis age, where more guys do want younger women.

It also changes depending on cultures too, as I’m speaking for my area which can be drastically different than somewhere else in the world.

There are definitely outliers to all this too since this always comes back to personal preference.

A few things:

• experience. There’s a stereotype that older women are more experienced when it comes to sex and know their way around better than a younger woman would in pleasing a man. I think why that doesn’t go the other way is that men stereotypically get more lazy as they get older, finding ways to do less to get what they want or other ways (financial; sugar daddy) and they become less attractive whereas older women can be just as attractive, if not more, as they age or at least know how to maintain their beauty as they age.

• a bit of taboo. A lot of guys with “mom’s friends”/teacher fantasies. It’s hot to think about one of your mom’s hot friends hitting on you to some guys. Then there’s the taboo of engaging in sexual activities with someone much older than you like your teacher in a setting that isn’t socially acceptable. We like what we can’t or shouldn’t have, often times. Speaking as a guy and having male friends, we’ve talked a bit about our fantasies like this and most of us have these fantasies.

• relative age. You may be younger in your 20’s but most men consuming porn are probably much older and the women who are older to you are actually their age. So it’s not always “milfs” because what is a milf to you is just a woman to a guy of an older age and he may not be interested in younger women and just into women around his age.

I just took a Covid test and this literally looked just like the one I took.

I recently took a test and passed it without studying.

This was a Microsoft exam for getting a certification relating to my job.

It’s really because I work in this daily and I know the program in and out enough that I am the one who teaches my colleagues how to use it at work. I was given some instruction by some colleagues and built on that and also watched videos and learned things as I worked in it.

It’s probably a similar thing for people like this in school too. Some people learned this stuff in earlier years. I remember being in college and some of the stuff being taught was stuff I had already learned before, even as early as 3rd grade in one of my English classes. Then there are also people who have a passion for some subjects and have gone above and beyond in learning the subject outside of school that they’ve already learned what’s being taught in the class. Likely been invested in YouTube videos and making them, themselves, reading various books on the subject, may even have a parent who wrote those books or been heavily involved in the subject, etc.
