Lol wtf is that bird?
Dried beans. Their cheap AF. Nutritious AF. I make up a pot of soup every couple of days. Soak you beans the night before. Boil next day.
Start a new pot off with butter. Sauteed up onion, carrot, and/or celery(all cheap AF, all optional). Add In meat if you like. Sear outsides but don’t worry about cooking all the way through. Add chicken stock (or water) and boiled beans. Simmer covered 30 min-ish. Add in frozen spinach, cook another 5. Salt and season to taste.
Congrats! You just made a pot of bomb ass soup. For like 3$! You can eat for days off that pot. Delicious AND nutritious. Your gut likes variety, give it to it.
Such a helpful kitty!
Unix is for commies. We’ll run our clocks the way Britain ran its coinage! 32 shillings to the third hour, four hours in a pound, 4.3 in a guinea. And of course 10 shekels in a pound, 7 to the guinea. To account for relativity of course.
Show me one flaw. Freedom time bitches!
Also from no country:
Carla Jean Moss: The coin don’t have no say. It’s just you.
Anton Chigurh: Well, I got here the same way the coin did.
I just want to plug criterion. They have essays on all their films that are really well done, often with the directors themselves. Also the criterion channel is amazing!
I always keep one streaming service subscribed so as not to be a total scrub, and I have a hard time imagining going back to Netflix or whatever.
They’re usually denser, often foreign films that require and reward undivided attention, but worth it imo. They often come with commentaries and interviews with the directors. Martin Scorsese for example has a bunch of content up on it.
Right?! Lisa sounded like a straight up old lady. And I’m still pissed about apu.
I’d love to hear a few more! I came across some Frisian media once. It wasn’t mutually intelligible with English, but it seemed close. I could understand some fragments and meaning, much like the native English speaker could pick up some stuff from romance languages. It’s so weird to see how languages bump up and into(out of?) each other.
