This started me wondering why megafauna was extra-mega, like those bison, or wooly mammoths… could it be the ice age climate? Like how humans in say Scandinavia are larger because it’s more advantageous in a cold climate?

And will humans start to grow smaller as the earth heats up, or are we offsetting that with our improved childhood nutrition and modern healthcare?

Yes, hi, we do exist. And we were trying to get CEO to implement a hybrid policy for years before covid. He hated the thought. And he was the type of person that would not hesitate to fire an entire department if they felt bold enough to complain about it. When I started there, I didn’t immediately report to him. Anyone there who had a layer of management between themselves and him had a pretty ok work experience there. Direct reports to CEO basically had to manage a toddler who was also the emporor with new clothes. I took the promotion to be his whipping post because I wanted to leverage it to move on. Instead now I have PTSD from an abusive boss and am not able to work full time.

tl;dr – the C suite does discuss things amongst themselves with and without the CEO. But CEO already knows what they want to do, usually can’t be swayed, can only be warned what the consequences of their decisions will bring.

Krylon makes “marking spray chalk” that is temporary and takes anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks to fade. It’s what we used to paint the train tracks on our parking lot for a kiddie train at our fall festival event.

I look at focus. Did they opt for wide or narrow apeture. Did they get the focus sharp or did the focus point accidentally fixate on something other than the subject.

I look at composition around the edge of the frame. A random branch or leaf unintentionally breaking the frame. Using something in the foreground intentionally as a frame is different. Crop out the unintentional distraction. Conversely, be aware of ears, hair, arms, hands, legs, feet, (and tails if applicable) getting cut off in the frame. Sometimes that’s a legitimate choice, sometimes it looks like an accident. Maybe better to capture the whole being and crop down later.

I look at white balance and color tone to see if it’s pleasing to me. This is highly subjective depending on the viewer.

I look for other compositional things like straight horizons, leading lines, rule of thirds. And if those rules were intentionally broken as a style choice or accidental.

I believe learners should try to follow compositional rules. Once you’ve mastered looking out for those things while minding your exposure time, apeture, ISO, and focus all at the same time when getting your shot, then you will get a feel for when you can break the rules for more impact and it still be a good photo.
