Modded version of youtube app that let’s you kill all the ads, among many other wonderful features. However, every 6 months or so, youtube does something where the videos stop loading effectively killing the app. I usually switch between vanced and revanced every 6 or so months because one has so far always worked when the other gets the axe. By the time that one goes down, the other one is back up and running.

I’m certainly no A2 lovin back the blue gun nut but if there’s any group that I feel completely fine with having guns, it’s the president’s secret service. These folks are held to the highest standards with the highest training guarding arguably the most important political figure in the world. They are not your average frumpy ass cop with a drinking problem and anger management issues. These sneaky fuckers are hand picked from the best of the best. You never hear about the secret service gunning someone down because they were just in a bad mood that day.

I work in the film business and have been on seta making the biggest movies in the world, even some of those Marvel super hero movies you mentioned. And Although I dont disagree at all those movies are really the lowest common denominator, film making for mainstream consumption is FAR less artistically expressive and driven than what most may realize. Indie films are generally far more creative during the writing and filming process and generally dive deeper into stories that absolutely merit sexual content. I dont think that’s what they are saying though. This is about mainstream media and just wanting something more creative than the same old shit time and time again in relation to sexual content. And I think that’s a fair perspective. There’s true art in film and then there’s the shit on TV and those two are nearly completely seperate.

For years everyone questioned why literally everything is so overly sexualized. Every plot, every ad, every spare moment when sex is shoehorned into literally everything we see, watch and hear in media. Now, the young adults are sayin, “nah, fuck that” and I dont disagree with that response. I think it’s less them being offended as you’re making it out to be and more just wanting something different besides the status quo. Its unwise and unhelpful to shit on these kids at every turn. Previous generations said the same thing about your generation when you were that age.

Facts! I finally paid off my car earlier this year and there for a good while I thought I’d never see the day. Yeah but the ones who can afford a new car can afford a lot of new cars… and yachts and all the land and social media platforms and space penis rockets and politicians and news networks. But soon it will all start to trickle down and we will feast on the soggy rancid crumbs our overlords have so graciously provided for us. For without them, we would be in the trees throwing shit at each other and eating leaves and shit.

I left reddit when RIF was shut down because of that “no API for you” bulltrash. I found lemme.world and it was like the clouds parted and a warm sunbeam shine down upon my cold, wet, and shivering body. It’s like reddit was in 2010 when I first became a daily user… but better in some ways. Smaller community, which will be interesting to watch grow as the years pass, everyone already here still trying to figure out how it can be made better and generally filling up with long time reddit users completely fed up with that corperate, ad riddled cesspool the site turned out to be. Is lemme.world perfect? No way and far from it… but that’s okay. There’s a really good bunch of dedicated computer smart folks (not me as one could imagine) continually working to mold and shape it into something that fills that dark hole left in the world of social media caused by the requirement for corperate suits needs to shove ads and propaganda down our throats between every blink we make.

Anyways, it sounds like the response he got were likely caused by some flavor of antagonist, rage baiting posts intentionally made to stir up said responses. I’m sure this is a win for lemme.world.
