There are areas in the economy where value is starting to be extracted further and services and ownership are reverting to being rented. This is happening especially now as capitalism is in crisis. The fact that it took until now for this level of extraction is a testament to the labor movement and the real weight of the USSR in the past, and how big that exploitation pie was post 1990s keeping all the monopolies satiated.
