Alice Walton, one of the owners of Walmart "while speeding in Fayetteville, Ark., she struck and killed Oleta Hardin, a 50-year-old cannery worker. She never received so much as a ticket. "
I identify as a doggy paddler
From what I’ve researched in the past ( I don’t have time to look it up) is that due to fact that women naturally hold more body fat than men that they then have more energy to use on endurance runs. That while they are not faster than men due to smaller muscles they can move for longer periods of time due to having more fat energy.
I could be wrong it happens often with me.
your are connecting two different pieces of data. The speed that a person can run a marathon vs. the ability to run a marathon.
What they are stating is that women are better able to run that distance not that they are faster at running that distance than men.
I think the four part series called The West by Ken Burns is shorter and probably better.
I mean, if we genuinely had a significant amount of local, state and federal law makers that cared about protecting their constituents instead of whatever the fuck they are doing now, we could have some accountability.

I’m a little biased but I do look down on men that lack any handyman skills
That is a lot biased to the point that you can’t even see that other men’s lives may have put them in a position of not learning those things or even wanting to learn those things. It’s great that you know how to do those things but just because someone has a penis doesn’t mean they have to learn how to be handy. That doesn’t make them any less of a man, just different from you.
It’s not too much of a reach to see a 2nd trump presidency promoting new laws that look progressive on the surface - higher tax rate on billionaires with the intention of putting himself on the top of the “richest men in America” list. Just takes a a little carve out in the law that presidents (for life) don’t have to pay this new massive tax.
Damn at just 5 ft most of southern Louisiana is completely submerged. And these are probably not the wealthiest people so where do they go? Do they live in FEMA trailers further in land? Do we as a country have a contingency plan for this ? I doubt it but I hope I’m wrong.
I mean there probably are enough homes to help these people but that may cut into Blackrock’s rental profit so that’s out of the question…
The more I look at this map the more overwhelmed I get at the number of people that will be displaced at just 5 ft.
Where does Florida Man ™️ go when his trailer is underwater? Is he now Georgia Man or Mississippi Man?
This is a migration that I don’t think people want
Bragging about accomplishments and compromise is the old way to campaign.
The modern form of getting elected is not to actually do anything. Because if you solve a problem then you can’t scare your voters with that problem in the future.
An example of this is abortion. Conservatives could always count on the one issue, “pro-life” voter to give them their vote to ban abortion. Now that it’s become easier for states to restrict abortion there is less incentive for these one issue voters to come out to the polls.
I fear that the left is starting to see the effectiveness of the “scare the voter” strategy and will drag their feet on certain hot topic issues like abortion so they can get more votes.
It would really hurt the older home owners but if we also had a well funded social security safety net then maybe older home owning Americans wouldn’t be so desperate to keep housing prices high.
You know use the tax money to help others that aren’t billionaires
This is such a good visualization of big numbers and big bank accounts.
It’s also a good way to really see the bull shit argument that it’s unfair to tax the wealthy at a higher rate. Even if they get taxed at 90% (which I don’t think will happen in my lifetime) they still will have enough money for them and their decedents to live a lavish lifestyle. And that extra money could really make America into the country that it pretends to be.
There is some research that shows that aerobic exercise can have a positive effect on visceral fat:
But it’s not all too straight forward
There are probably more studies that show both positive and inconclusive evidence for exercise and changes in visceral fat because that kinda how science is…
Sounds like the man is really bored with his life and all he has left are drugs to keep him entertained
puts on tinfoil hat
EVs are starting to make a dent in the market place and oil producing countries don’t like that so they lower oil prices to keep people driving ICE (Internal Combustion Engines) vehicles.
takes off tinfoil hat
I’m sure it’s more complicated than that
