A little bit something like that happened to me a few years ago, when I was in my early twenties…

However it was my mom who took an initiative and chatted up another mom, which ended up with them passing my number to a woman my age.

That was at a yearly community festival and the cute woman my age was volunteering there at a booth.

She ended up texting me, however was kinda dry. Well I never talked to her before so I contiued the chat to get at least a common interest or a vibe going before asking her out.

In the end I took her short replies as a lack of interest. Weeks later, I learned from my mom that she was looking for an old school date invite via call. Made me a little sad but no regrets. :) She could’ve told me so or call me herself.
