Evangelicals have always thought so, Israel is the holy land so they feel they need to protect it. Caveat for Israelis is that evangelicals don’t need the people, just the place. In their perfect heaven, everyone except the white, western Christians are in hell and they live in Jerusalem with god. I grew up in this insane shit, it’s wild.
