The issue is that A.I. always does a certain amount of mistakes when outputting something. It may even be the tiniest, most insignificant mistake. But if it internalizes it, it’ll make another mistake including the one it internalized. So on and so forth.

Also this is more with scraping in mind. So like, the A.I. goes on the internet, scrapes other A.I. images because there’s a lot of them now, and becomes worse.

Yeah! That’s one of my favorite things to talk about when mentioning A.I.!

Scraping images from the Internet is pretty bad, especially if you get more A.I. generated images than “real” ones, because A.I. always makes tiny mistakes. If it learns from an image made from an artist, it’ll incorporate characteristics from that artist, but with a tiny amount of “mistakes”, in order to make it sort of unique. However, if it learns from an image made from another A.I. (or itself even), it’ll not only incorporate the mistakes that the first A.I. made, but also add mistakes of its own.

There is a new functionality for users to list all images they have previously uploaded, and delete them if desired. It also allows admins to view and delete images hosted on the local instance.

I remember this being an issue a while back. Glad it has been addressed 👍.
