The place I sent my parrot to when he passed puts a numbered metal tag on each pet before they go in and the tag stays with the ashes. They also did a foot impression and sent the ashes back in a simple but lovely clay urn. It was a little weird seeing the ashes in a ziplock inside the urn but I totally get it since they were a small family business.
My mother in law who’s a staunch Republican told my husband that she shouldn’t have to learn anything new at her age. This is the type of people we’re dealing with. They are willfully and spitefully ignorant.

I work mornings in the office and drive home on lunch break to wfh the rest of the day and all my best solutions pop into my head in that drive home. It’s great because it’s a quick break from work to get the brain percolating and then I can jump right into solving mode as soon as I get home.
I’m torn about this because I have good mentors but I genuinely want to try to learn how to code and not just have the answers given to me right away. At least I’m only working on volunteer project so being slow isn’t really holding anyone else up.
I never knew about how CSD spreads but that makes sense. I don’t see artifacts with my auras. Generally everything becomes too bright and too loud all at once. I know I’m having a bad one if I start writing backwards (I will write the second letter of every word first) or slurring my speech. Thankfully I don’t get super bad ones as much anymore.

So Virginia is weird. You can technically drive without insurance but you have to pay a one time fee to DMV and register as uninsured. In truth though you will not likely get an auto loan without it. And good luck if you get in an accident. I’m guessing that this is a hold over for vehicles that are “farm use” or for “antique vehicles” that might need to use the roadways occasionally but don’t really need expensive coverage.

I completely understand an employer who wants to include skills assessment type tests but giving “personality” tests is just another method of discrimination. This article skirts the details on exactly what types of jobs are having education requirements removed but I am highly suspicious that it is mainly for entry level service sector jobs where higher education is a “nice to have” but not a “must have.”
I had no idea they were doing this but it doesn’t much surprise me. My PS4 will be my last Sony purchase because honestly the system gets progressively worse with every update. I can no longer navigate between screens or in apps without experiencing massive lag. I understand it’s not supposed to last forever but the damn thing is near unusable at this point whereas my PS2 is still running.
My very first big purchase as an “adult” was a nice real leather jacket which I too got on sale. I still have it well over two decades later. I would say though I got an LL Bean coat for an Xmas gift one year and it is by far my favorite coat ever. It’s rated for -40 degree weather and built to last. I would have never spent the money on such a thing for myself but having it makes a world of difference to me (I’m very cold sensitive). I will most definitely shell out the money for a replacement when the time comes.
