The spouse and I went to see Bottoms last weekend. It was one of the best comedies I’ve seen in a while. Sort of cross between Fight Club, Superbad, and Starship Troopers (the satirical bit). I’d recommend this movie to anyone that can handle the crass content. Well worth checking out.

Just finished it. I was NOT expecting the level of satire in this. I cracked up at all the ridiculousness of it all. Letting Hazel fight that boxer. The freakin sword! It was like a fever dream. And I love how they just never explain it. Everybody is nuts in the whole town.

Marshawn Lynch was a highlight. His speech after they got found out was gold. Also “The Holocaust, it happened”. Hazel was also great. She was a great 3rd to compliment the duo.

It was crazy seeing Ayo Edebiri in this after seeing her in The Bear. She looked so young here comparatively. I really found it to be a great satire on toxic masculinity as well. Shame Barbie is getting all the love instead of this. I might say Bottoms did it better for me.

Agree. I got a lot more than I was expecting. It deserves to be a bigger hit than it is, but I can’t say I’m surprised in the world we live in.
