The UN HRC just voted on a resolution condemning illegal unilateral sanctions for violating human rights. The only votes in support of the sanctions were from the US and Europe.

Does a UN resolution achieve anything? I don’t expect any sanctions to be lifted as a result of this…

I think it is a useful indicator of what respective countries’ foreign policy objectives are, which helps put off the mask.
