Everyone including the US government knows that Hamas will survive this assault. It’s not about Hamas, it never was. Hamas simply provided Israel with the excuse to carry out an ethnic cleansing that they’ve been wanting to do for decades.

Especially since every Israeli act of genocide just radicalizes more Palestinians. Israel is literally making more Hamas even as they ostensibly try to destroy it.

That’s not true. It was Arafat who refused peace terms in the late 90s. You’re looking at this like it’s black and white.

You mean after the Israeli PM that brokered the deal was assassinated a staunch opponent of the deal, Netanyahu, took power and refused to follow through with the part of the agreement where they pull their illegal settlements out of the West Bank that the Palestinians are the ones who refused peace there?

You don’t get to wipe your ass with an agreement then whine when the other party abandons it. Much like their propping up of Hamas, Netanyahu’s coalition has shown time and time again that good faith negotiations is not what they’re interested in.

Yeah I can agree with that. I hate Netanyahu. I don’t plan on defending him but Hamas raping and killing people would have exactly one type of reaction, and it’s the reaction they wanted. It wasn’t about protecting Gaza. They knew that their attack would destroy it. It was about Iran wanting to maximize chaos around the world. Not all Israeli people like Netanyahu. His approval ratings have never been lower. Of course, those that do approve of him would love to commit genocide upon the Palestinians, but those approval ratings are in single digits now.

The invasion of Gaza will be temporary, and it’s anything more, Israel will be doing it alone with no external support.

Why are you bringing out Arafat in the 90s? Your comment lacks relevance to what you’re replying to. Arafat has nothing to do with the fact that Israel wants Palestinians to leave Gaza.
