      Best Picture goes to the person as a Producer, not a Director.

      So, yeah, if it wins, she’ll be on stage for producing the film, but not directing it.

        She’s also nominated for best screenplay and Barbie really doesn’t deserve an Oscar for the directing anyways

          I dunno, the musical numbers and the giant beach battle look to have been pretty challenging from a directing perspective.

            I’m not saying it’s badly directed but in comparison to Poor Things, Killers of the Flower Moon and Anatomy of a Fall it’s lacking. And I thought it was better than Oppenheimer, but not for the directing.
