Those who say their new pixel this and new pixel that have never tried to photograph a hummingbird on LSD.

I call mine customers. I put out feeders so I get a lot of these little boogers. I sit in my back porch and watch them duke it out for dominance. Love hearing that buzz and their tiny little chirps.

If the feeders run low I swear they will just hover and stare through the screens at me until I refill them. They’re bossy and I love them.

Hummingbirds and dragonflies are two of my favorite animals. Absolutely ruthless insectivores, natural born killers.

Haven’t got my usual 4-5 this year, but finally got some solid flowers going. Rose of Sharon brings them to the yard, blooms constantly!

Did see two males running combat air patrol over the feeder today. LOL, little fuckers fight like hell. I think one may have killed another I found in the yard 3 years back. Need to hang another feeder up elsewhere, hard to keep up with if you’re not paying attention.

PRO TIP: Get a feeder that takes standard Mason jars. Kinda hard to find, only scored one. Boil up a monster batch of sugar water, load up the jars, freeze. 8 or 10 jars lasts us all season. Unload, screw the new one in, no drippy mess.
