It is a GUI app you use locally. It renders out the finished files. And yes it supports markdown formatting.

I use Publii, which is a local application that supports markdown pages, has an interface similar to a CMS, and renders the entire site out to static html files that you upload to any web server. It can dump to a local folder, or ftp the files for you. It has a lot of good themes, and a blank theme that you can use to get started if you want to roll your own like I did.

I would suggest a dedicated NVR for recording and monitoring. I tried using a home-rolled system and it was more trouble than it was worth and was unreliable. I use an Amcrest 24 channel dedicated NVR with some POE Amcrest cameras around the house. I would consider this self hosted, as everything stays in my network and the apps point directly to it without needing to go through a cloud service. I think they offer one if you want, but it’s on-top-of and not required.
Well, we do have some private companies that are doing things like this, such as Meta with its Llama models and Google with their smaller gemma models. But I would love for there to be some publicly funded options that truly belong to all of us.

Pretty sure it’s not an official plate. The sovereign citizens will print their own. Sometimes like this in an effort to fool cops into thinking its a regular plate so they don’t get pulled over.
White light is just white cause our sun blasts out a big rainbow mix that our eyes evolved to handle. But like, imagine we grew up orbiting a chill red dwarf star instead… our eyes would be all tuned differently, vibing mostly with reds, making red our new “white.” Even our language and color wheels would shift, calling reddish hues “neutral.” Wild thought: even crazier when we’re still perceiving this existence through our own lens.
