Granted. All door animations are now forced cutscenes.
Reddit -> Beehaw until I decided I didn’t like older versions of Lemmy (though it seems most things I didn’t like are better now) -> kbin.social (died) -> kbin.run (died) -> fedia.
Japan-based backend software dev and small-scale farmer.

Well, not being a very-much-finished space program would be a good start.
I think the hangup is why is there an “it” that’s doing the raining. My wife had trouble remembering that as well since we would either just say ‘rain’ or ‘rain falls’ in her language
Most languages don’t need a dummy subject to do the raining. Whilst “it’s raining” may seem natural to people who grew up speaking English (or indeed several Germanic or romance la guages) it’s far from universal.
even with their eyes closed
This sounds like hell to me. I get over-stimulated and need to close my eyes sometimes to shut off the input.
Seems fine to me. I’d rather someone juggle than loudly play some instrument.
It’s 2025 and I have no idea what the current way to center something is. Then again, my job is that of a backend engineer so it’s rare I’m outputting anything that isn’t a log statement. They can pry tables and center tags from my cold, aging hands.
Not in its domestic market in Japan. A handful of niche hobbiests may have things like a SteamDeck, but it’s far from mainstream, nor is the market seemingly terribly interested in it.
In my mid-40s and this is more-or-less what I think as well.
Some options off the top of my head. Money in US politics is ridiculous as is not having something like STAR or ranked-choice voting.
What is the execution path? What indexes are being hit? What are the keys? Can you separate things by, for example, category since dupes wouldn’t typically exist there? There are lots of potential things that might tell you more or improve performance, but this is super vague.
reduce the flourishes and/or add more spacing between lines and it would be a lot more readable.
A majority means they rule on their own, minority means they need to work with with some other party/parties, but that will not include the conservatives. They will have the most seats and I presume that’s what they meant by victory.
Edit: corrected a wrong term.
Human urine was collected and used for many things (mostly the ammonia). Human feces was used as fertilizer in a lot of the world until very recent times and collected in certain areas.
Technologically, it does feel like that sometimes, but it would seem not.
In my case, I’d probably be OK having studied French and German (and reading things by Chaucer and Gauer). Though French != Norman French, so that may cause some issues.
Heh, that’s specifically why I qualified it as ‘position on earth’.
I hate the way it sounds but, at the same time, it is simpler and more regular.
If I snapped you back in time 650 years
2025 - 650 =1375
Its the 12th century
1375 is the 14th century. Which do you mean?
Answering the actual question, nothing good would come of it if my location on earth didn’t change. Being the only white person in rural northern Japan well before Europeans came in the 1500s would probably not be a good situation for me. The language, at least the written one, was very different. Being the Nanboku-chō era, things would probably be not great since it was in the midst of 60ish years of war with two different people claiming to be in charge. I can’t find, at least before my coffee kicks in, exactly what kinda state Mutsu Province, as it was then called, was in at the time.
Player? Easy. Scarf? Easy. Wearing a scarf? That depends on a lot of factors such as which part of the body, how the models were made and rigged, etc.
