I feel like people forget about this. Hamas wants their constituents to die. They want to put their weaponry and bases inside hospitals and places of worship because they know IDF will have to seize or attack them and making them look bad for damaging health facilities and mosques. I am pro-Palestine and pro-Israel, but I notice there’s a lack of nuance too often in the pro-Palestine movement. I know most Gazans are not involved in Hamas. But few realize that most Israeli citizens are uninterested in destroying Gaza. Israel’s military and executive leadership has made poor decisions. But this does not necessarily equate to the country at large being genocidal.

He also only turned the water into wine because his mother nagged him to do it. Two of the people thought to be the most perfect and infallible in Christian tradition are actually fallen people. I think it’s pretty noble to abstain from alcohol or other addictions but the way this guy does it is so belittling.

That was actually Major, their younger dog at the time. Champ was their elderly dog who died a couple years ago. They since got a younger pup, Commander, and he too, has been biting staffers, but I don’t know if they revealed which agencies the victims work for. Maybe Commander is copying what his elder brother does, but iirc Major doesn’t live in the White House too often nowadays. He might just have the same intuition.

I suppose I mean it is mostly Catholic as in the church has a large present in Massachusetts (where I live as well). Lots of people here grew up in the church, were baptised in Catholic tradition, did Catholic sacraments like confession, communion, or confirmation as children. Catholic charities play a large part of a lot of the social services here too. This survey is unusual because it doesn’t seem to check off the qualities of religiosity. What are they praying about, what kind of God do they believe in, and how do they behave when they attend services? I’m quite skeptical since the supposedly most religious states are Southern red states, which are often religious in hallow, discriminatory ways. In the northeast culture, people are uncomfortable being seen as highly religious because we also want to seem rational, but that doesn’t make us completely non-practicing. My point is, the judges, lawyers, and/or witnesses this couple will encounter likely also have a familiarity with Catholicism and can just as well find a doctrinal rebuttal to their bigotry in addition to legal ones.

I don’t get why they think this is discriminatory when Massachusetts is mostly Catholic to begin with. Because they have a superiority complex, they are “true Catholics” I suppose? I mean even the papacy, USCCB and other large Catholic regulators have shifted their views on LGBTQ people. While a lot of dioceses still aren’t yet uniamious on marriage equality or performing same-sex marriages within church premises and with church tradition/clergy, I think most now say the queer community at least deserves love, respect, and tolerance. Being trans or nonbinary is tricky, yes, but if you foster a child who considers a transition it’s important to give them spaces to really evaluate the choice. Take them to therapy, support groups, and maybe some medical consultations to evaluate their options. With children especially but people in general shouldn’t transition completely on a lark. Make sure they are confident in their choice. Still, these people couldn’t even have a nuanced approach like that. What a shame.

I guess I’ve been acculumating subscriptions for a long time. I do occasionally unsubscribe when a channel goes defunct or I lose interest or whatever, but I don’t do it regularly. I had been a videographer and broadcasting student as a teenager so I guess I wanted to find a lot of inspiration.

He was a big inspiration to me too for a while. I started reading Dilbert when I was first learning how to read. Then I started making my own comics for a bit. My mom and a lot of her colleagues loved him and his comic too, since they worked for Nynex, later Bell Atlantic, while he was working for Pacific Bell. I have this fantasy that maybe my mom or her colleagues might’ve even spoken/written to him once while they worked in purchasing. Maybe she or someone else got a phone call saying “Hey, this is Scott. The Seattle office needs more paper. Please order some.” Though that probably isn’t too likely since Nynex only dealt with New York and New England, and Bell Atlantic with the East Coast. Still, everything seemed somewhat interconnected in the Baby Bell days of the phone companies that I feel like he could have crossed their paths. Anyway, I hope he reexamines his views and has a support network in getting better. He deserves his punishment but the funnies aren’t the same without Dilbert.

I use the subscription feed. Definitely don’t use the bell. Bell is so cumbersome where you get a email for a new video, then you get that pop-up preview on your browser, and push notifications on your mobile device. Too much for me, especially since I’m at a point where I subscribe to 600 channels or so, which makes it hard to play favorites. That’s sort of what the bell is for I guess, determining whose content you value the most.

Adams is “crazy” because he seems to disagree with himself. Donald Trump impresses Adams, yet he voted for Hillary Clinton to protect himself. White people should “stay the hell away from black people,” yet in a tweet after his tirade he explained he is not bothered by black people, but instead bothered by white advocates for black people (which… may include himself, I mean he identified as black for solidarity or something, which is kind of meaningless, but he did used to support black cartoonist Robb Armstrong’s comic Jump Start quite a bit, and even wrote the foreward to his book). Yeah, his views can be upsetting, but the following day they will likely be upsetting yet completely contrawise to his previous views. That’s why he’s “crazy,” and while I dislike the connotation of the word it seems apt. He has a constant paranoid mania in his videos, blog posts, and tweets. I really only have a layman’s knowledge of mental disorders, coupled with my own experience, but Adams really needs an evaluation. PTSD, any bipolar disorder, any schizophrenia, or maybe something else I don’t know about could likely be in the cards.

Before the Russian invasion, I’d always thought Ukraine was a beautiful country. Never been to either country, while I did notice similarities in the architecture and culture, they still had distinct enough flourishes that set them apart. Really, destroying holy sites and places of worship is a very dirty move in warfare. Doing such destroys morale. This cathedral looks like an immaculate place to visit while it was in tact. I hope places like it can be restored soon.

Poorly masked is a great way to describe it since these people are anti-maskers.

I’m going to innocently guess it’s because the tips are small parts put under duress and with more use, the looser they become and just… Fall off? And then they aren’t seen on the ground of the station because people drive over them and they get scattered or smashed on the street. Of course I’m still learning to drive (in my mid-twenties) and my family members who are licensed are more often the ones who get work done on our cars. I also live in a state were self-pumping isn’t that common.
