I waddled onto the beach and stole found a computer to use.

Note: I’m moderating a handful of communities in more of a caretaker role. If you want to take one on, send me a message and I’ll share more info :)
Can anyone explain this one?
I was looking for something similar a while back. This one looked promising, could you try it and see how it goes?
Pain Diary (PFA) ((SECUSO) Record condition, intensity, location, nature and time of your pain.)
https://f-droid.org/packages/org.secuso.privacyfriendlypaindiary/
Medication and exercise might need to be separate from this
Unfortunately that seems to be the case for a handful of Foss apps. Fdroid might not be a priority for them yet
I found this
they seem to be leaning into the AI stuff, anyone try it out recently?
How are you finding Anytype?
I tried moving to it recently but eventually gave up because of how complicated it got. Vikunja was on my list of things to try. I still haven’t found something I like.
Appflowy was next on my list to try. It seems to have matured a lot since I last checked
Very detailed, thank you for writing it up :)
It does help set a good precedent. When companies try to do the same thing, further hurting smaller artists, we can point to this case
Thanks! That’s much easier
Edit: for a better method, see this comment below
You would need to navigate to that instance on desktop
For example, as others have said:
You can’t see it from your instance because not every community will be pulled. A community only starts federating to your instance after someone on your instance subscribes to it
We have our instance on .ca
for example, since we’re a Canadian instance. Other instances might use .eu
being in the EU, or .fr
for France
Some instances pick the TLD (.com, .ca, .org, etc.) to have a fun name. For example, https://sh.itjust.works
I’d love to read more of these stories, if you have time to share them. Maybe !casualconversation@lemm.ee?
There’s also this!
!learningrustandlemmy@lemmy.ml
@sorrybookbroke@sh.itjust.works @maegul@lemmy.ml can probably explain more
For anyone looking, we have some communities for provinces :)
All while the other antitrust case is still in progress
How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, Old Man?
I’m not sure where you are in the world, but you could look into maker spaces, local universities/colleges, or any local hobby clubs.
Each of them might have programs to let you borrow tools, or bring something in to work on. The least they might know about what is available
I’ll include a note in the post about making a backup first, sorry about that!
Some Lemmy compatible platforms do stuff like that
Something like that could work, as long as it’s an additional option and not a change to how communities currently work.
Mixing hashtags with communities sounds like a bad idea because of how much content would come in at once. For example, there are a few RSS feed communities and already those ones are overwhelming to keep up with. Most posts sit with no comments and 1 vote, which doesn’t work for the vote & comment based way we organize content here.
We can improve how we federate these platforms together, but I prefer the tagging method. That way it’s a conscious decision to post a microblog post in a community.
A family pet in Oklahoma has had a dog of a day when playtime sparked an emergency response. A pet monitoring camera captured the pup chewing on a power bank before a bright flash and a fire ignited. The two dogs and the cat inside the home managed to get out safely via the perfect escape hatch.
I just shared that article yesterday from iFixit about how to keep batteries from bloating during storage. An additional point might be to keep it away from creatures that might chew on them.
Thank you!
