That wasn’t intended as a correction. Mastered is definitely correct. Tamed is a bit more poetic maybe.

magnetichuman@fedia.ioto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is this "artist" on spotify AI generated?11·1 month agoProbably an instance of Spotify “Ghost Artists”. Spotify pays unknown musicians small amounts to record generic-sounding tracks and sign over all royalties to Spotify.

Google must know that they are not a monopoly in search.
magnetichuman@fedia.ioto Technology@beehaw.org•Google hits back after Apple exec says AI is hurting search18·2 months agoNumber of search queries is such a bad metric for quality of your product. If your search is trash then the user is going to need more queries to get a satisfactory answer. That is, until they stop using your service of course.

Ooh, I have a good one. While I was asleep my brain came up with “Late’n’Baked” which was some kind of instant foodstuff for stoners along the lines of Huel. This was apparently funny enough to wake me up.

That said, companies still manage to innovate new ways to screw the consumer all the time.

They’re not allowed to rely on any existing science that might be biased towards ‘Big Globe’ so they have to start from scratch using simple instruments. Using existing maps and GPS are definitely out of the question. Have them conduct cartographic surveys and take astronomical measurements so that they can show that reality is inconsistent with a round Earth. Basically, see how long you can keep them going for before their brains break.
