Post metadata (NSFW/tags), yes.

Yeah, voyager does not have any ads or tracking or anything. It’s truly privacy first. In fact the only “analytics” I get are from Apple App Store and Google Play Store download counts etc which I can’t turn off. But if you use F-droid I have literally 0 usage information even crashes :)
Also Voyager has reproducible builds which means you don’t have to trust me. You can verify that the APK was built from a specific release of the source code!
aeharding@vger.socialto Announcements@lemmy.ml•Lemmy Release v0.19.10 and Developer AMAEnglish8·3 months agoThanks! Also noteworthy, for those instances using lemmy-ansible (should be most) this release should fix video streaming for Safari clients (videos refusing to play), and enable progressive streaming for all pictrs videos (before in chrome/firefox/native players they would have to finish downloading before playing).
For those instances using a custom nginx reverse proxy with caching enabled, please enable the slice module! After upgrading to 0.19.10 feel free to ask me and I can help out to check to make sure it’s working properly.
Yep, having a shitty memory makes me write better code lol

aeharding@vger.socialOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Jellyfin is not just good... but *better* than Plex now?!English3·4 months agoI have no idea what OP is talking about here, it sounds like they’re only judging the app on its animation speed.
In the plex PLAYER, I constantly have to restart my tv, glitches, audio out of sync, black screen etc, stutters randomly. Incredibly annoying when I’m trying to watch something. I haven’t had a single playback issue yet with the jellyfin player. It just works
Edit: oh and how can I forget: in the plex player, sometimes “pause” just… didn’t fucking work?! Lmao. I had to exit the player and re enter. So annoying.

aeharding@vger.socialOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Jellyfin is not just good... but *better* than Plex now?!English5·4 months agoIf the apps don’t work for you then I’d stick to plex. But I had the opposite experience, especially with the Plex Android TV app, it is so shitty… And the Jellyfin Android TV app is rock solid
aeharding@vger.socialOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Jellyfin is not just good... but *better* than Plex now?!English7·4 months agoI actually had the opposite experience, better subtitle support without transcoding the video track with Jellyfin
Awesome works!
Only thing I’ve noticed so far is the old v3 profile API response doesn’t have posts/comments attached
CORS is broken on voyager.lemmy.ml. Can you please fix it?
