I’ve never even thought of VLC as a streaming media player.
GrayJay most of time asks for login because Google indicates it is a bot
GrayJay does not ask for login, Google does. It will do the same thing if you navigate to the YT webpage.
Yeah I know a lot of people had trouble with it.
There are lots of convos on AT.
I use Mattermost because it combines a comprehensive kanban called Focalboard with chat rooms for communicating with coworkers.
I’m very happy with the mobile version. The desktop is still in Alpha though.
We got like a dozen Android YT apps. You should probably just switch.
It is indeed, that’s why it’s labeled Alpha.
Zelle does not have any transaction fees.
Sounds a lot like Zelle.
They refer to Sony’s ToS:
If SIE Inc determines that you have violated this Agreement’s terms, SIE Inc may itself or may procure the taking of any action to protect its interests such as disabling access to or use of some or all System Software, disabling use of this PS5 system online or offline, termination of your access to PlayStation Network, denial of any warranty, repair or other services provided for your PS5 system, implementation of automatic or mandatory updates or devices intended to discontinue unauthorized use, or reliance on any other remedial efforts as reasonably necessary to prevent the use of modified or unpermitted use of System Software.
Although I’ve never heard of any reports of that, and I’d love to see it tested in a courtroom. Deliberately bricking someone else’s hardware because YOU believe for some reason that they’re not using it properly is on a whole other level than just disabling online accounts. It’s vindictive.
“Although users own the hardware, the software that’s needed to run it is subject to a license agreement,” attorney Jon Loiterman told Ars. “If you violate the license terms, Nintendo has the right to revoke your access to that software. It’s less common for software makers to revoke access to software in a way that disables hardware you bought from them, but the principle is the same.”
It’s hard to believe anyone would be legally convicted of a crime because their OS took a screenshot.
There will always be edge cases and exploits.
Sure, but most people already have sensitive data on their PCs and trust the OS to keep it (mostly) safe.
To what end?
To the end that stonk line go up.
I see. What about Matrix?
Jitsi is close but it purely does video calling.
Not sure what you mean by that. Turn off the camera and you’ve got an audio chat.
I want something that is a chat where guests can join a group with a link.
That’s exactly how Jitsi works.
Signal is not self hosted but they also support videoconference style calls.
I think Mattermost is intended to be just that.
The difficulty is not a problem for me so much as the very slow movements. It takes like 2 seconds to swing a sword. Meanwhile the opponent is still attacking. Just can’t figure these games out, myself 😮💨
