Two or more would be a pattern. Those one offs are fine tho
There’s precedent though. Alcohol and tobacco have significant restrictions on marketing material. I would argue that firearms should fall into the same category.
My impression was the same- eye roll at the “videogames cause violence” argument that’s been beaten to death, but I actually think they may have a point when it comes to marketing.
Sadly, I also think that COD is a military recruitment strategy (Boy Boy did a video breaking down the way the American recruiters use COD to capture a certain demographic) so I don’t think this lawsuit will go anywhere. Thought-provoking though.
Setting up a legal pathway for suicide helps people maintain agency and also allows for those with curable conditions to take the time to seek the help they really need thanks to the ample medical oversight.
I don’t think that it’s awesome. Having read the article, I think that she has full capacity to make the decision and am happy that she is doing so in a medically supported way. Botched suicide attempts can cause devastating disabilities. And I always hate when a family member finds the body of someone who died by suicide.
She’s run out of treatment options and is still symptomatic to the point that her quality of life is severely diminished.
It wasn’t an overnight decision and has been reviewed by multiple medical teams, over 3 and a half years. All stated in the article.
That explains why those “I ❤️ genocide” T shirts sell so poorly
How did he procure it so quickly too??
I’m not sure if you’re able to pursue citizenship, if it’s something you’re after, but in terms of the “unique” accent- you don’t owe anybody an answer if they ask “where are you from?”
You can tell them you’re English. You can tell them you grew up in England, truthfully. You can tell them English is the only language you speak. You don’t owe anyone your backstory. If you’re feeling petty or vindictive you can lie and say you have a speech impediment. I know their intentions are likely good but by inquiring about your accent, they are othering you. It’s up to you how you’d like to respond.
Somehow the water not being crystal clear makes me love this more. It just seems cozy.
All I learned from this thread is that the word “floor” looks wrong to me now, on so many levels.
Yeto! Twilight Princess.
Happy almost x-tieth birthday!
Thank you for the detailed and insightful response. That’s such a fair and egalitarian stance. I wonder why other countries haven’t adopted similar? Or if it’s that the church in Germany doesn’t hold as much political power as other places.
If this is something that happened to you then I’m sorry for your experience, especially if it dissuaded you from seeking help in the future. The health care system in the us is disgraceful.
That’s really interesting that religions and world-views are given equal credence. Excuse my ignorance, but are they covered under the same word? Or what would the translations be?
That was my genuine point. No sarcasm intended.
Unless it’s talking about responsible firearm ownership.
Medical professionals, particularly doctors who have sworn an oath against causing harm, refuse to take part in the executions. This is partly why lethal injections are so hit and miss. Even if you can get the drugs, the dosages are tricky. IV placement is a skill. All of it being done by untrained individuals leads to a high rate of failure- and that was before the pharmaceutical companies started refusing to supply prisons.
I would imagine that if benzos became part of the nitrogen hypoxia protocols prisons would then have a hard time sourcing them, which is terrible for those other inmates who might need them for other reasons (anxiety, alcohol withdrawal, seizures)
Gotta agree that the first Mario party for switch was terrible. Hated the concept of star points, or whatever they’re called.
The last one felt just ok- like a return to form but not a stand out. 7/10 maybe. I’ve only done one party of Jamboree and its definitely my favourite of the switch by far. Might be on par with MP 6 for me for replayability. Lots of anti frustration features brought in, gameplay feels quick, minigames I’ve played so far were fun. I don’t regret the purchase but also have bought every single Mario Party since the first one, even when disappointing, so maybe wait for someone else’s opinion.
