Basically it’s “Free labor” for the restaurant, because you’re still going to get a 0$-$2 paycheck at the end of the pay period.
This work is done after all your tables have gone, and typically involves things like pulling up the seat cushions and cleaning underneath, rolling/folding up napkins, filling up salt/pepper shakers, collecting all of the condiments off the tables, etc.
One restaurant in particular even had us doing some kitchen prep work (in addition to the side work listed above) like dumping whatever was left in the ketchup bottles into a larger container for sauces, stripping herbs off their stems, etc.
Usually this took about 20-30 min, but you couldn’t go until it was done and someone had to sign off on it, or else they would pick up the slack if someone else didn’t do everything.

Way too many people are convicted for crimes in the same way where some “cell mate” has heard the other person confess to crimes, and then the “informant” gets rewarded.
We seriously need to change how things are done especially in cases where the only evidence is from incentivized informant testimony.
If the Missouri governor won’t pardon him, shouldn’t Biden be able to pardon him? Hopefully enough noise is made that he takes notice.
Unfortunately we’ve all seen this play out before where someone who can prove they are innocent is still executed.

Killing someone just for revenge should never be the answer. That’s the kind of tactic that makes dictators and fascists what they are. The desire to watch something like that is even more alarming.

Anyway, the top comment from YouTube is useful:
They put two different clips together. The original is that the turtle was saved from being eaten by the tiger shark, and then after they released the turtle miles away from the shark, the turtle swam down, grabbed a jellyfish or something to eat, and brought it back up to try and “share” his snack with his rescuer. It was adorable. And they showed the entire thing from start to finish in that one, showing it was the same turtle, and the same man right after the rescue.

“Literally”… You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Now we have to worry about Dealership loaners as well?!
Dispatchers should take note and start asking callers if the car is a rental/loaner… or in the case of Hertz, just ignoring their automated software reports entirely.

In line with NTSB recommendations, SB 961 requires every passenger vehicle, truck, and bus manufactured or sold in the state to be equipped with speed governors that limits the vehicle’s speed based on the speed limit for the roadway segment. The maximum speed threshold over the speed limit for that segment that the speed governor may permit the vehicle to travel at is 10 miles per hour over the speed limit. SB 961 also permits the vehicle operator to temporarily override the speed governor function. SB 961’s speed governor requirement does not apply to emergency vehicles.
And if anyone really wants to dive into it, the actual text for the bill is here: https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=202320240SB961
If you have a lot of time and enough conviction:
Lobbying, petitions, run a non-profit organization to do so.
It takes a lot of time and it’s frustrating, but look at what individuals like Louis Rossmann and Ross Scott have been able to pull off with Right to Repair and the Stop Killing Games Movement.
If you don’t have as much time:
Donate some time to projects to help out. For example, take a look at some of the projects listed underneath “Climate” category on Zooniverse: https://www.zooniverse.org/projects?discipline=climate
Here’s a description of the project, “ClimateViz”:
