Not the gotcha you think it is. They said competitors, piracy makes them use your own product and not pay you for it.
Would a kid buy photoshop if they had to? Probably not. Would a sketchy company? Yup.

So yah, a rip off.
Orrrrrr, hear me out, just click once and get an online account because you don’t care.
And yes, the command line is an issue to most regular users. My parents don’t grasp the concept of keyboard shortcuts for copying and pasting. I get a phone call every time they try to attach a file to an email, where they say the steps when they are doing it so they don’t fuck it up. If you use the computer to access a single webpage that’s bookmarked, youtube and ebay, maybe an hour every week at most, expecting them to have to learn a new system and a command line isn’t feasible. People like icons and clicking. If you managed to get rid of a keyboard and maintain functionality, they’d switch in a heartbeat. That’s why smartphones are so popular. That’s why kids preffer touchscreen over controller, and are basically unable to play keyboard and mouse anymore.
Storypoints are such an artificial concept it doesn’t even make sense. Same thing with estimation though. Most numbers are “I pulled it out me arse” unless the task is a one line change. And even then, shit breaks and it becomes useless, so the one line change is estimated to be a day anyway
Not really an opinion when most companies run on self documenting code since time immemorial.
I have given well documented code to plenty of juniors, it comes with being a senior dev / techlead. And it was perfectly understood. Maybe you simply don’t write self documenting code.
The only moment you write comments is when you are doing something extremely weird for a specific reason that will not be immediately obvious and you want to warn the person doing a refactor in the future. In any other case, writing self documenting code is the way. If you are unable to do that, then your code needs to be rewrtitten.
Then you get a graph that doesn’t start at zero and you can undercut the visual argument even further
Try again. But by all means, be selfish and lie on the forms since you are arrogant enough to know better than the people who actually collect the blood, or the teams that carefully create these questionaires. It’s not like these are there for both your safety and the safety of the patient.
Yeah and then people will die because of it. Oopsie, right? If they ask you a question, answer it truthfully. If you have a question about it, ask them about it. If something isn’t a big deal, they won’t reject it. If it is, they will. Simple as.
They do this because it is important. It’s better to not donate, than to donate something that will kill someone.
Antidepressants aren’t about making people happy. Happy pills don’t exist.
Just proves that echochambers is what people want.
For comparison, I just went to a site that aggregates stuff from small farmers. It’s usually more expensive because of that (farm to table?) 10 eggs, free range (they apparently also have a youtube channel / stream of the chickens) - 4 Euro. Fed carrots, corn, wheat, etc. We get deals from our friends for less than that too.
Am in Europe, that’s expensive as hell for eggs.
Both are destroying families because of politics and being convinced by people who don’t know them, that their family is worth less than ideology.
You went on an anti-Trump social media to ask for advice whether you should permanently cut ties with a member of your family, who doesn’t bother you, doesn’t cause issues to you, just has a different political opinion to you / supports the other “tribe”. Remember the story of Soviet kids who gave up their parents to the authorities, because they hid food for them when it was illegal? That’s you right now.
So you are advocating for this protest to turn violent?
Completely irrellevant to the discussion and nice ragebait, but whatever.
