Someone on Lemmy Linux pointed out his past in detail, and I agree he was DEFINETLY going through the far right pipeline.

However, he never continued it, never delved into it farther, never pushed that crap further (the dirtiest thing was hosting I think Shapiro for meme review, which while very bad, at least didn’t keep that shit up. Do wish he’d delete the video though), and seems to have changed paths after getting into actual philosophy. He’s never been a politician who’s destroyed people’s lives or a billionaire or called for people to be harmed, either.

If we hold people like him to the same likeness of people like Musk or Shapiro etc, progressiveness will lose the cultural war to fascism. By equating any potential ally into an enemy, you only destroy your cause, and certainly only help fascists far more.

  • I have to believe it’s for cost reasons. It’s a very strange downgrade considering they already released a literally upgraded OLED version of the Switch 1.

I actually normally play on the TV, but my wife has always preferred handheld, and it wouldn’t be fair for only one of to get a Switch. And the 2 came out literally on her birthday, so even less so. So I got her a Steam Deck instead and, have to say, should have gotten it sooner. It’s essentially a Switch 2 - no limit recordings, OLED, more power, etc. more surprising is that it was lighter than the Switch 1, so she’s really happy for that, and I have a PC so at least it’ll tide us over this gen until an OLED version is released.

(Not to mention I built a cartridge dumper and dumped my versions of BOTW and TOTK to play Ryujinx. Have had 60fps, 4k, jaggy free versions for free for years, so the 10€ cost to get them on Switch 2 was just extra insulting. Those should have been free updates to make up for the lack of games at launch)

Currently I’m working on a Plasma Bigscreen build that still gives some privacy and 1080p Netflix/Disney+/Crunchyroll etc by using extensions/WebApps and getting S-Tube and other android apps (including tv web browser) via Waydroid + Flauncher, all controllable through a simple IR controller.

If you pm me I’ll set it as a reminder for when I finish to share the package. It’s designed for an Odroid C4.

As for dumb tvs or more privacy friendly tvs, you can find them if you know where to look. Here’s some options from LG:

They had a dumb 65" 4k OLED too but it’s currently out of stock.

Yeah no, if you actually spend your life doing sports and eating well you don’t look like that.

As a counter example, Jackie Chan is in his 70s and looks like this:

Another example, US Secretary of Defense who is still serving and only retired from the military in 2016 and has seen literal combat, and is 71:

If you’ve wrecked your knees with only 10 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu it’s likely because you started at a later age, and/or didn’t start off really fit but rather got fit through it.

Or have a predisposition to having weaker knees, such as being primarily of European ancestry (weaker joints + arthritis more likely in exchange for plague resistance).

Old people don’t magically become fat.
