Prime Minister Petteri Orpo’s coalition has introduced labour market reforms and cuts to social welfare that angered labour unions, which launched widespread strikes in March and April.

The government said Finland’s defence spending will increase by 488 million euros to 6.5 billion mainly due to the acquisition of a new fighter jet fleet.

NATO should have been dissolved with the Warsaw Pact. It has no other purpose than to defend US imperialism.

NATO is vastly more powerful than Russia already, in terms of sheer military force. It’s not even close. Funny how they’re all scrambling to raise their military spending as if Russia is about to attack imminently. Which won’t happen anyway if we’re to believe in NATO’s deterrent.

Unsurprisingly the money for this defence increase is obtained by reaching into the pockets of the poorest in society.

The orange bad should be happy to hear this. No? He still wants to pull out of NATO? I’m beginning to see why he’s bad.
